Dang. If only the plot was that Catherine hooked up with the doctor and Caleb met up with a teenager he found on the internet, without any Bible thumping, along with a lot of gratuitous sex and nudity, Jeff Vice would have taken time to watch it.

What a sorry review. Basically marriage is not worth working on, just move on? Come on man, go review soap operas where exactly what you want happens.

What movie did you watch? If you were talking about Fireproof, then your review was pitiful. You are way off base thinking the only thing that can help someone is a psychiatrist. In fact, maybe you should find out the success rate for your "worldly" help, since, you know, it seems to work so well for celebrities.

This is a very amusing review to read. Just walk into a crowd, say the word "movie" and most everyone will tell they have seen "Fireproof" or are going to see it. I really do not know anyone who has seen it and has not loved it. It really is a MUST SEE and probably a MUST OWN. To say that this movie did not set the world aflame is wrong. As of right now, it is the most watched movie. The theaters in our town have been showing it non stop since the day it came out and it is still packed. WATCH THE MOVIE!!

I rented Fireproof last night and I very much liked the film and I highly recommend that every couple should see it.
With Kirk Cameron in a film, you know that it is bound to have religious themes, and with this film it did, but to me it made the story more real and actually it was the lack of a faith in God that was the heart of the problems with the husband and wife. The respect and love that a couple should give each other, should also be shown to the Lord and that when God is at the heart of a marriage, then everything else about that marriage will be right and good!
You can tell that film budget was low, and sometimes you can tell that some of the films were rushed through (I read that there was a 9 day film shoot), but overall the acting was good. I hadn't seen the main actress in anything before and I found her to be a fine actress.
It also at times felt very much like a Lifetime movie of the week, but I happen to like those kind of films!
I even became emotional in some scenes, and especially in the end when both the husband and wife realise that to have God in their lives and at the center of their marriage, that God will bless it and it will work!
