Utah ranks No. 25 for its eco efforts

Worse, it is a needless burden on taxpayers at a time when the economy is dropping badly.
Stop this foolish waste NOW!
Or, I can play hopscotch with my IQ numbers.
Utah needs to be at the bottom of the list for alarm-based nonsense "action". It is a wise person who does nothing when no problem exists.

Sandy
2nd coldest April on record
Colder than average in May, June and July
Coldest August ever
The NW berry crop has been badly hampered by the cold weather. In Alaska, the ocean waters were so cold in May, June and July, the salmon didn't know to run upriver, causing that industry to be down over 50% this year.
It's not warming in the Northwest or many other areas, therefore it's not global. I doubt it's warming anywhere and if it is, I'd like to see it proven that it's man-made. Afterall, the temperature of Mars has steadily risen and there is no known form of life there.
Either way, I have less respect for him.

I can't believe the ignorance of some posters on this topic who believe that we are entering an ice age and offer no proof of it. Oh well, I guess there are still a few people left who believe the earth is flat. Again, the satellite images are all I need to know that 90% of you on this forum are downright insane. It reminds of Shultz on the TV show Hoggan's Heroes, you know the guy who closes his eyes and says, "I seeeee nothinggggg."
It is quite convenient to choose 1980 as a base point since it marks the end of the coolest period of the 20th century. If we could choose 1940 as that point the picture would be quite different.
There is no "proof" either way, but we know that climate changes are cyclical and it is a sade bet that the earth will cool again and the current cooling coupled with a very quiet sun could portend that.
The Antarctic has increased both ice mass and sea ice extent, and the "record" ice melt in the arctic has nothing to do with temperature increase but rather changes in wind patterns and ocean circulation.
I don't think the earth is flat, a rether stupid and illogical soudbite. You seem to think arctic history started in 1980.
Also, the warm gulf stream current has slowed by 30% in the last 10 years, so you can't blame that for the melting Arctic Ice. If you Google this topic, you will find further evidences of it.
Please try to back up your assertions with data and evidences as I have tried to do with satellite photos. In the scientific world--data counts for more than simply emotional rhetoric. For many on this forum, this issue is more about economics and politics than it is about science.
