i would say lots of things about how terrible this article is, but i think reading it for yourself, you can discover it on your own...

This OSU team is not the same team that lost to Penn State and Oregon (i think it was)...

They found their identity last week against the number 1 team in the nation...

You'd think that Utah had lost to the worst team in college football. OSU is a team that UPSET the No. 1 team in the country last week. Regardless of what the spread was, Utah won. It might not have been the prettiest win, but they are 6-0. Championship teams find ways to win.

I'm ashamed at the TERRIBLY BIAS media in Salt Lake City when it comes to Utah sports. BYU wins by one point to a winless Washington team and is praised. Utah beats a VERY GOOD 2-3 Oregon State team by 3, and they are punished with such negative reporting by the Deseret News.

I understand the Church owns this paper, but come on. Show respect where respect is due.

I just got done reading the articles by the Salt Lake Tribune, and it is a world of difference! They pointed out the negatives but emphasized the positives, something that this newspaper can't find a way to do for the Utes.

As a MWC fan, that was a great game to watch. Good job Johnson putting together two game winning drives at the end. Sakoda is your MVP. How important are extra points? If OSU hit their first one and then succeeding ones, they probably run much more time off the clock at the end of the game and win, or at least go into overtime.

This has to be your worst article ever written. You haven't a clue how good this OSU team is.

Oregon State was a preseason top 20 team that was picked to finish 3rd in the PAC 10 (ahead of Oregon). As we all saw a week ago, they can play with anyone in the nation. They are a very sound team.

Utah didn't bring it's "A" game but they found a way to win which is a sign of a good football team.

You and your paper give BYU far too much credit with wins over absolutely nobody. WSU and UCLA are this years doormats in the PAC 10. Obviously, they are both great programs and when scheduled, were expected to be strong opponents. They weren't.

My point is this, Utah may be up and down offensively so far this year but they are 6-0 against a better schedule than what the Y has played so back off and give them some credit.

Be positive about both schools, this is the season we have all been waiting for. Hopefully both schools in the top 10 and undefeated when they meet.

Go U! Go Y!

Congrats | 5:39 a.m. Oct. 3, 2008
Congrats to Utah on a big win. I hope you go undefeated until Nov 22. Could be a HUGE game if both teams can run the table to that point. Wouldn't that be great to see on a national level? The BCS would hate it. Congress would try to pass a bill. (Of course they wouldn't pass it because they don't know how to do that!)

Great win. Great team. See you in November!

GO BYU vs. Aggies tonight!

The last phrase summed up why the fans were so excited and stormed the field.
A GAME WINNING FG!!!
If you didn't storm the field, then you weren't watching the game. Utah was outplayed in most aspects of this game, but when the chips were down and the pressure up, the Utes found a way to stop the competition, capitalize on a couple small mistakes, and bring home the W, the prize that really matters.

Way to go Utes!!!

Oregon State is a very good football team. To put it in perspective for the Deseret News, Oregon State will have no trouble dispensing with Washington and UCLA!

The rivalry required a win | 7:21 a.m. Oct. 3, 2008
Storming the field? What is going on? The Utes beat OSU (Oregon State, NOT Ohio State).

I am glad, though. Need to keep winning so it is an undefeated Utah team to meet an undefeated BYU team in November.

If Utah can find some consistency, they will be a solid team.

"You and your paper give BYU far too much credit with wins over absolutely nobody. WSU and UCLA are this years doormats in the PAC 10."

You would be correct, but BYU did play WSU, truly the doormat of the PAC 10. They played U of W, not quite the doormat, more of a shoe scraper. You know those things that look like a brush that you see at some homes and businesses.
What you forget is that BYU destroyed UCLA. They so thoroughly dominate them that it wasn't funny. Then they let the 2nd string get some playing time.

Tell me that the blocked extra point against an inept Washington team wouldn't have merited an equally jubilant celebration had the game been played at BYU. Come on now...I dare you to say it on this board!

"A" Game | 8:20 a.m. Oct. 3, 2008
I keep reading how Utah hasn't brought their "A" game yet this season. That will reach up and bite them right in the you know what before the season is over. They're lucky they haven't played any good teams too thus far because a TCU or BYU will require 100% on all cylinders for Utah to have a chance.

Haven't played any good teams??? I think you have Utah's schedule confused with the schedule being played by the TDS. Washington and UCLA are arguably the WORST teams in the country and will be easily handled by Oregon State just like they were by BYU and everyone else who has played them.

Nice win against a very good team (Penn State not withstanding). However, the point of this article is dead on, it really is amazing that the UTES are 6-0 given all of the mistakes they continue to make. They gift wrapped it last night in several areas, but then took it back in the end. So you could say the mark of a good team is that they always find a way to win, true. But the elite teams find a way to avoid putting them selves in these types of situations in the first place. Utah is really living dangerous and though they have survived so far it will eventually catch up to them if they dont get it fixed, and it really starts with Brian Johnson.

In short, I am thrilled to see the UTES at 6-0, but at some point something has to give. Hopefully it is their mistakes that give and not loss.

GO UTES!!!!

No more whining UTES | 9:57 a.m. Oct. 3, 2008
As an Oregon State fan, I was absolutely appalled at the end of the game, not that we lost, but how we lost. NO BODY here in uteland said one word about the terrible call on the two point conversion, all the utes that are so quick to blame the refs for taking games away from them, did not say THANK YOU REFS for giving this one to you. Come on, Johnson was so far off the mark on the two point try at the end, and our guy was ran over by the utah receiver running back to attempt to catch the terrible throw.

If that is pass interference, then I am going to make so much money on becoming the next great offensive guru. I will find a bad passing QB and teach my wide outs to run hard down and outs, then have my bad QB always throw behind my wide outs, who will then stop and change direction toward the terrible pass, running directly into the d-back. Thus, drawing a flag every time. Fifteen yards at a time all the way to the goal line. Cha-ching, cha-ching all the way to the bank.

TERRIBLE CALL!!!!!
