I love how the ute fans do nothing but rip on how bad the pac-10 teams are that BYU has beat....but, it appears that Oregon isn't any better that washington or UCLA.
SoCalUtahFan | 8:49 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008

Common, Utes!!! Finish them off.

Earth to True Blue - the Utes are playing Oregon State tonight, not Oregon.

That's the same Oregon State that beat the #1 team in the country last week (that would be USC).

Once again, BYU's reputation as having the least knowledgeable fans in the USA is shining through!
Just get with the program | 9:20 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
You can bash BYU fans all you want but the bottom line is...GET WITH THE PROGRAM UTES AND DON'T SCREW THINGS UP BY LOSING THIS ONE!!! You'll ruin everything for November!

Go Cougs and Go Utes!
Bear Laker | 9:28 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
TO: to true blue Your comment shows how dumb you are. USC is just as bad as the rest of the Pac 10 dwarf as proven by a poor OSU team.
GoodGuyGary | 9:41 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Come on, Utes, you cannot lose to Oregon State...

Go Utes!!!!
To Bear | 9:46 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Uh, Bear Laker, USC was being compared to NFL teams before last week. They would destroy BYU.

But, oh yeah, BYU doesn't play ranked teams or even teams with winning records. Sorry, forgot.
93 cougar | 9:53 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Come on Utah.

Pull this one out!

BYU needs you to be undefeated when they beat you in November.
Bear Laker | 10:00 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
To: to true blue. Shows that those who thought that are as dumb as you, uninformed utah fan, worst in the country.
Yea!!!! OSU scored!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I wonder... | 10:02 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
if the BCS official has already left the game. I'm sure he's seen enough...Utah isn't good enough to be in the Fiesta bowl this year. Maybe next year.
GoodGuyGary | 10:04 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
I think the BCS official is heading to Logan now...
TrueBlue | 10:04 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
nice one utties...BYU 2-0 vs Pac 10 and Utah 0-1
Touchdown U!!!!!! | 10:06 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Touchdown Godfrey and Extra Point Johnson!!!!!!!

Take That, Bear Laker!!!!!
To Bear Laker | 10:07 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Yeah, typical classy BYU fan.

Takes a lot of guts to call someone dumb on an anonymous blog. You call me dumb to my face and I'd beat you like USC would beat BYU
GoodGuyGary | 10:15 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Come on Utes, KO them...

I think more people cheering here for the Utes are BYU fans now...
To all you commentors | 10:15 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
The game isn't even over yet. It looks like the Utes still have a chance. I don't know why you are all on here making stupid comments about SOS and every other lame subject you hash out day after day when a perfectly good game is going on. You play who you play, you can't make their record better or worse so drop it. Now watch the Utes choke it after pulling even on a fantastic drive.
Horrible Call | 10:20 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
The PI call on the 2 point try was horrible, the pass was not even close to being catchable. The Utes owe the Refs big time.
wow | 10:21 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Utah looked terrible this game. You would have thought they just won the national championship with the way the fans stormed the field. I'm glad they pulled it off, but they shouldn't be celebrating like that after such an ugly win.
GoodGuyGary | 10:21 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Good job, Utes, Good job...

Now Cougars need to take care of themselves...
Mike Johnson Fallon NV | 10:23 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Good win, Utah. Way to come alive in the last 2 minutes after a horrid offensive showing in the second half.
Overrated... | 10:23 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Nice to see the refs help utah win this game.
SoCalUtahFan | 10:23 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008

Wow!!! We survived OSU.
What a night!
First, we survived vicious Biden. He is scary.
Then OSU scared me.

Go Utes!!!!
Anonymous | 10:23 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
first of all utah doesnt play ranked teams either and oregon st is not that good
That was great! | 10:24 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
What a nice preview to the 2008 Las Vegas Bowl!
Good Job | 10:24 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Nice pull out in the end. Congrats, i was pullin for ya.

Go Cougars, Go utes (till nov. 22)
PI | 10:25 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Time to talk all week about that pass interference on the 2 pt. conversion. That was a bad a call as the Jake Locker celebration.
UTES!!! | 10:25 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Way to go!!!!

Take that all you BYU fans pulling against us!

Now good luck with that powerhouse Utah State!
Dennis | 10:25 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Way to Go UTES. Still on track for a heck of a game in November.
Mark in Peoria | 10:25 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
A win is a win, a penalty is a penalty and a good kicker is a good kicker.

Utes are 6-0!
Mike Johnson Fallon NV | 10:26 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
To wow,

given that they, like I did, probably thought the game was over with a couple of minutes left and then for the Utes to finally come alive and score 11 points in the final two minutes, made me very excited. I agree with you, the Utes played horrible for most of the 2nd half, but I don't blame the fans for getting excited about a win that almost didn't happen.
Anonymous | 10:26 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
USC prob would beat byu, but they would kill utah. utah is overrated and that will be shown when byu beats them for the third straight year
Re: wow | 10:27 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
You're right, the fans shouldn't have stormed the field. Kind of like when BYU's TEAM stormed the field with time on the clock after blocking a kick against the now 0-5 UW on a lousy call against a soph QB who ran all over them all day.
Scoobie | 10:30 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Fantastic come from behind. Way to go Utes. Close games are underated..... this is a great win. Johnson for national player of the week. The dream game is still alive. The pass interference call was legit. Congratulations Uteys!!!

........The Mountain is alive and well..........
.................Rise and Shout................
To my little brothers | 10:30 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008

Sorry to disappoint you. Utah won 31-28.
Utah is still unbeaten.
Utah will remain so even after Nov 22.
And we hope BYU will only have one loss after Nov 22.

Bad call.... | 10:30 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
What? Nice try. Correct call, Utes, the better team, won. On to our second BCS game (second, hear that, kittens?)
to UTES!!! | 10:32 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Uh, there's only a handful of BYU fans who wanted the Utes to lose tonight...and those are the uneducated ones. It does BYU no good for Utah to lose before November 22nd! The overwhelming majority of us were pulling for the Utes tonight. It was ugly, and OSU isn't much better than UCLA but congrats to the U for keeping up your end of the bargain so far. Now my Cougs need to show up in Logan tomorrow. Here's to another shut out!

Go Cougs AND Utes
Re: Re: wow | 10:33 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Right on. The kittens have never tasted the BCS and never will. Go UTES!!!!!!!!
wow | 10:34 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
I'm ok with the TEAM storming the field, but I think the fans should stay in the stands to celebrate.
RE:RE:wow | 10:35 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
actually UW is 0-4
Mike Johnson Fallon NV | 10:36 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Oregon State is better than either UCLA or Washington. They have two wins, including one over USC. UCLA and Washington have one win between them, an overtime win at UCLA over Tennessee, which only has one win as well.

Looking at the consensus of 46 computers posted by Massey, Oregon State was #38 (third best in the PacTen), UCLA is #91, and Washington is #94 out of the 120 FBS teams.
Random Thoughts | 10:37 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
WOW! What a game!!! What a last 2:11 for Utah!

OSU is a much better team than they showed their first couple of games. As evidence, they beat the #1 team in the country last week and almost beat the #15 team this week, but.........the UTES pulled it out and what a very exciting last 2:11!

Utah did play rather pedestrian at times but they showed that they refuse to lose with what they did the last 2:11. Johnson came alive and showed something that I have been looking for from him all year. This could bode very well for Utah the rest of the year.

Go UTES!
BYU fan | 10:40 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
way to go Utes. Sakoda is the X-factor.
To Re:wow | 10:40 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
What a buffoon you are! BYU didn't storm the field against the "now 0-5 UW". You loser, that game was in Seattle. There weren't enough BYU fans there to "storm the field".

Get a life and let the SOS go already. Oregon State, after all, isn't that good and you just came within a whisker, not to mention a questionable PI call, from losing to them.
No way.... | 10:41 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
osu is barely better than ucla. They'll smash them. Nice try. Fans should've been on the field. Jealousy and envy cut to the core!!
Gift... | 10:42 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Players belong on the field, fans don't. Enjoy the win! Johnson looked bad, can't go through his progressions well, but he pulled out 2 good drives at the end. And no, Utah should not be ranked #1 because OSU beat the #1 team last week. I wouldn't be surprised if Utah passes BYU in the standings even though BYU dropped with their win AT WA. The "penalty" was a gift, one you can enjoy all year!
Fully Invested | 10:46 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Uh, really? Talking smack after a game like that? Remember, you were favored by 12 points to a team that has a terrible record on the road. Good that Utah won, but I was not impressed with their sloppy play. Something I am sure they will correct as the year goes on. I just don't think I would go bragging about beating a team like that on a last second feild goal at home. Should have been a blow out, and I think Utah knows it.
Kittens? | 10:47 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
These "kittens" have a ring do don't! #1, been there, done that!
S-Dog | 11:13 p.m. Oct. 2, 2008
Kittens? mythical ring, mythical championship. Sorry.
utes | 12:10 a.m. Oct. 3, 2008
Brian Johnson is going to be the one to beat the Utes if they lose this year! The Utes are better than anyone they play, it all depends on Brian. Ludwig needs to try and devolp his confidence! If BYU and Utah switch QB's, Utah dominates. Brian will keep that game close. BYU fans should not try and compare OSU and Washington or UCLA. Wash and ucla will be in the basement of the pac 10. OSU will finish in the top 3 in the pac 10. No excuses however for Brian trying to lose this game!!!
