Does the rule apply to the Cougar D as well? Since they haven't played any teams with a true "multi-faceted offensive attack" does that put in question their ability to compete with the Utes offense in November too? Something tells me your argument might change when discussing your own team.

The truth is the rivalry is a different entity when comparing it to previous games in the season. Effort, motivation, scheming, adrenaline are all amped up a notch. In both '05 and '06 Utah was a heavy underdog to the Cougars; they won one and lost one (the infamous John Beck to Harline miracle). The reason Utah was placed as an underdog in both games was based off of in-season performance, yet in-season analysis proved to be a pointless endeavor as both games were highly competitive. Truly, I respect your effort, but as we've seen many times in the past, previous performance means nothing when it comes to the rivalry.

the game is not on ESPN because for somereason they really do not like the mountain west and decided to pick up the South Florida vs pittsburg game, looks like the Utah game is panning out to be a much better game, terrible terrible ESPN

I think the only chance BYU has is defeating an undefeated Utah team. So come on UTES! (until November, that is)

I am a BYU and Utah fan but all these posts make me think BYU fans are really insecure about your team. Otherwise you wouldn't have to waste so much time trying to prove to the world how good BYU is. All your arguing just provides evidence for the naysayers. Have a little confidence in the cougars and show a little more class as fans.

Both Utah and BYU are great this year, it's too bad the BCS system will only allow one to bust through. It's a rivalry, the last couple of years have been really close, BYU's offense is nearly the same as last year's, why do we as BYU fans suddenly think this year Utah is going to be a cakewalk?

I hope the Utes dominate Oregon State tonight and turn some heads. It's a win-win for Utah and BYU, the MWC conference is better than the nation realizes.

The Utes had me concerned when they allowed what appeared to be an easy drive for a winning TD by OSU. I was going to unload on the UTE Fans!
