in our society takes forever to come to grips with this type of criminal. How slow it moves and how forgiving it always seems to be. Why can't this country simplify systems...COULD IT BE THE LAWYERS DON'T WANT IT THAT WAY...LIKE SOME DOCTORS WHO WANT TO KEEP PEOPLE SICK AN ON PHARMA SO THEY KEEP COMING. IT IS ALL ABOUT MONEY AND PRIDE!

I agree, John's sentence is very light when you considered he was convicted of this same type of offense in the early 90's and was only placed on probation. He violated that probation by continuing to train dogs for fighting then. This man never learned his lesson. Craig

Dog fighting? What a low life. If I were the judge I would make him pay a monthly fee for the rest of his life, that would go towards the humaine society.

Too bad he's not an overpaid athlete like Michael Vick. This would have been all over the news and this poor sap would have gotten the maximum sentence.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
