Would they favor raising taxes to 100%? The outcome is based on how the question is phrased.

The US can come up with almost a trillion dollars to benefit Wall Street. It can come up with that much again and more to fight an unnecessary war in Iraq. Money for war, for the arms manufacturers, oil companies, companies like Haliburton, tax cuts for multi millionaires, and money for the rich men of finance. But it can't come up with the money for health care to take care of it's own people who can't afford it. They say that you can judge a society by how it treats its most helpless. What a shame.

Health care needs HELP!! | 4:52 p.m. Sept. 24, 2008
If private enterprise were doing its job of providing affordable health care, then I would say keep the government out of it. But they aren't. No one should have to fear having their coverage dropped, especially after years of paying into the system. No one should have to fear bankruptcy, simply because they had to go to the hospital.

It's time for the government to step in. If they can bail out wall street, they can start insisting on some basic care for individuals. American citizens really do deserve that much.
