Violent crime is NOT up in Utah.
This is just the drive-by liberal media trying once again to stir up trouble and dismay amongst we peace-loving conservatives.

I assume your comments are tongue in cheek. I can't imagine that you believe that.

Sure I mean it.
This is the sort of thing conservative guru Rush Limbaugh tells his flock everyday. And always laying the blame on the liberals (aka Democrats).
And the stupid chumps believe it.

Interesting how police chiefs are saying that we are going in the right direction; there's no real problem.

Perhaps that is part of the problem.

Needs to learn Federal Law
The Courts are corrupt
The Judges need to be scrutinized by the cops
The peoples constitutional rights are being violated
1 Freedom of speech
2-Right to assemble
The cops create the problem with tear gas ect., and the people react.
This is World wide
Not just Utah
We have seen many cops in trouble for lousy behavior
Let's not forget this.

More people may equal more crime in absolute numbers, but that doesn't mean that the crime rate per 100,000 residents necessarily increases.

The other thing is that low or no employment leads to property crime, in other words, stealing stuff to sell. Unemployed, drug addicted, or homeless people are not necessarily the cause of violent crime. Just because a person doesn't have a job or is drug addicted isn't going to motivate them to commit rape! More likely it is related to the gangs that continue to increase in numbers and strength here.
