And now we have Michigan fans on a Ute blog? I guess they've left following their team cuz they know Utah has the potential to be a BCS buster again and they would cheer the Utes on so they could be able to say, "atleast we lost to an eventual BCS bowler".
It's still too early to tell who's going to be great in the big 10. Michigan looked 10 times better in their mediocre performance than Ohio State did in their weak performance in barely pulling out the win against Ohio, yes that's right. Ohio State, in preparing for the USC match-up, forgot that they still play football every other week and it almost cost them their BCS hopes. Michigan might not be so bad as everyone says, only the next 3 or 4 weeks will tell.
Coach Wittingham and Anderson are great, but I worry about the Offensive side of things. Hopefully we can pull that together and give college football a real show these next few months. GO UTES!!!

Another nice victory by the Kuugs. Their first non-conference road victory since before my kids were born. And they won proudly, too!

Another victory over a quality opponent.

It must be gratifying to the Kuugar-nation to win that way and spend all that time and calculus calculating how fair Jake Locker's celebratory ball rose into the air.

I did not see that. If that is true then they are poor sportsman and not worthy to step on a field of play. Anybody that gloats about another players injury is below little league mentality.

Believe me byu is not my "lame team" by any means. I like all "Honorable" teams.

I feel byu has some rabid fans that don't follow college football but just want byu to win at all costs so they can get on a blog and act righteous.

But there are fans like that everywhere it seems.

Personally I am impressed with the "Fighting Irish Legacy and the politeness of their fans and their outlook on football.

You are a liar. I guarantee not one cougar player was celebrating that injury. I watch Fui immediately call for trainers, I watched the sidelines and as soon as it was know what happened the entire bench became very somber. What's not classy is that you would even suggest something like that.

Ute fans take too much pleasure in hating the cougs. Time you grow up.

well, the espn guys were complaining more about the RULE itself, which was my point, it IS a judgment call. if you read the rule, what Brooks did should have been a flag because he didnt place the ball near the dead ball spot nor did he try and return it to an official. And I didn't say he didn't throw it up in the air, all i was pointing out is that the rule is stupid and takes emotion out of the game. Don't be so defensive!

Great push in the second half Utes........nothing more...... nothing less. Good luck in your next game.

For us down South........ next week we'll see what turning Norm Chow out from within really cost.

how bout the utes offense. six different players with touchdowns? just shows how many weapons the utes have. it'll take some time before the offense finds that real go to guy

Utah Fans -- please stop referring to the school down south as Blue fans. Michigan is Big Blue. They are the only school who has earned the right to be called Big Blue and or use Go Blue. There is no comparison between the Michigan program and the school down south's program.

Please, fellow Utes reserve the Blue fan talk for Michigan.

It is so shameful in my mind to continue to read these michigan, or big 10 types still writing about a game that was played over a week ago. Whats even more pitiful is that you are banking on michigan to struggle this year so that your argument will hold some weight. Your programs in bcs conferences are to well connected to not find a bowl game even for a mediocre michigan team. They should finish the year stronger than they started. All this time i really believed that utah had fair weather fans, you live and you learn i guess. Utah has a long way to go, but they have the defense and offense to improve towards 12-0 by years end. I fully expect to watch the utes play next to A mountain, on the asu campus come january.

GO UTES
Re: Re: closing time | 4:20 p.m. Sept. 7, 2008
Yes, because those of us who live in Utah have no access to "outside" information. Don't you remember Gore's invention of the Internet? I can and do read articles about other conferences and I haven't seen any Big-10 writer refer to this team as the worst Michigan team in 40 years. And apparently you haven't either, since you still refuse to provide any evidence to show it, other than your useless opinion.

Also, please take a look at one of your quotes: "They (Michigan) keep getting beat by mid level teams."

The term "mid level teams" denotes plurality. Michigan has only lost ONE game. Get with your conference, Big-10 know-it-all.

In regards to the Utah game, I'll admit my Utes showed up in the first half; they just played poorly. Some of it can be attributed to Utah's ineptitude offensively while some of it can be attributed to UNLV's D in the first half. You see, I try to see the game objectively, not through misguided absolutes. Try it some time. You might come across then as a credible sports fan rather than a disgruntled Ute hater.

worst game of the week...utah | 8:42 p.m. Sept. 7, 2008
ute keep thinking your good. You delusion is hilarious, why? Well because you beat a poor Michigan team but could only score three points in the second half. And your first half against UNLV was embarassing. Those two performances would have gotten you beat easily by UNI and Washington.

But keep talking, you haven't figured anything out yet. I'd be nervous if I were you. Suddenly Air Force looks like a game you are not going to win.
re: Congrats Yewts | 8:50 p.m. Sept. 7, 2008
Thanks, and congrats right back at you for your last second 1 point win over a less than mediocre team.
RE: Re: Closing Time | 9:01 p.m. Sept. 7, 2008
I bet you were saying the same about MI last year when they lost to APP State. MI didn't look good, but they were up against a pretty good defense. By the way, you really didn't look good if you count the points that we gave you (7 for fumbled kick, 6 for blocked kick, and 7 for fumble). We also punted on the 36 after having made a FG from the same 36. I read that as a 28 to 3 score. Ooooh!
re: Closing time | 9:13 p.m. Sept. 7, 2008
Great post! MI lost to App State last year, and dropped out of the polls. Everybody talked about them being a lousy team, and then they ended up a ranked team at the end of the season. They aren't that bad.
