The Memorial Dedication was a solemn event. The deaths of these officers have affected so many. I hope people continue to give to police charities. After all, what would you want if you gave your life in the service of others? Taking care of the families left behind should be a top priority.

Governor Huntsman gave a superior speech in honor of the fallen. God Bless all who are peace officers and especially those who were murdered while performing their duties.

These are Utah's finest.

Today's Memorial Dedication actually was more dignified and "gut wrenching" than yesterday"s placement of the plaques. I have a son-in-law whose name is on that wall, and this will be a wonderful place to sit and ponder what a wonderful young man he is. I will visit it often, except when the legislature is in session. I'm proud of those men and women who dedicate their lives for our protection and peace. I pray the Lord will watch over all of them.
Elder Packer gave a very warm, spiritual dedicatory prayer, that brought tears to my eyes. Governor Huntsman gave an outstanding, short speech. The program could not have been finer, and was a real tribute to those that we owe so much.
My hat's off to Robert Kirby, and those who assisted him for this very deserved tribute.
Thank's to all.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
