I love The Gilmore Girls. I bought the Box Set so I can watch it with out Commericals. I Stopped watching after Lori went back to Rorys Father. That was a little over the top and a bit much, but everything up to that. I will check out "Privileged." My favorite line fro the show is. Lori is questioning Rory about using protection while having Sex. Not wanting a repeat of what happened to her. She says to Rory. "I hope you are using protection, you have the body for it (conception) aim shoot and there it is."

Scott Pierce, I find myself agreeing with you very often and really like your columns. As a huge Gilmore Girls fan, though, I have to disagree with you on this one. The brilliance of the writing in Gilmore Girls, the smalltown innocence, the relatively unknown yet talented actors and sincerity that the show had, none of this can you find in "Privileged". Privileged seems to try too hard, lacks solid acting and seems much closer to Gossip Girls than Gilmore.

I think I'll go watch some more of Gilmore Girls Season 2 now.

I have to agree -- WAY off on this one. I watched the show because of Pierce's suggestion but stopped 3/4ths of the way through. First time I have ever not watched an entire pilot. The main character is likable enough and quirky (if somewhat annoying) but all the others are cliched or boring. Oh look, a sweet best friend who has a crush on the main character. Haven't seen that before. And here comes the rich boy who deep down is really a good guy. Oh, and the two sisters who have the personality and acting abilities of a cardboard box. Yawn. Double Yawn. I did not laugh out loud once (despite being someone who literally gets made fun of for laughing too much while watching TV shows). I'm sad I wasted my time and DVR space.

But I do agree that Fringe was rather boring, until the last ten minutes or so.
