Olajuwon vs Ewing. Just another reason why the 80's was the greatest decade so far.

Congratulations A. D. No question, you carried the Jazz for years. This is well deserved and a long time in coming.

I was a kid. Way to go A.D. I loved watching you play. The Jazz was fun and exciting to watch whenever you were on the floor.

This is truly a great HOF class.

As a Rockets fan since the mid-70s, Hakeem is my all-time favorite.

Naturally that had to mean that I was Ewing "hater" since the two were rivals. But Ewing deserves to enter the HOF. Same love-hate for Riley as well, since the Rockets and Lakers were rivals in the 80s.

I moved to Utah when AD was the only thing that kept Jazz in games. Without AD, the Jazz probably could not have financially survived in such a small TV market.

It is good to hear that the Utah Jazz have two former players in the Basketball Hall of Fame: Pistol Pete, and AD. Congtarulations. Can't wait for Karl and John to be inducted also. What a great bunch of guys.
Congrats A.D.! | 11:40 p.m. Sept. 5, 2008
Wow, you'd think that having played so many years in Utah that the DesNews would publish a LOT bigger article on AD making the Hall of Fame.

What gives?

I remember as a teenager growing up in Bountiful the voice of "Hot Rod" Hundley announcing Jazz games and verbally showcasing the talents of AD every single game.

I think Jazz fans everywhere owe AD a lot of gratitude because it was primarily his talent that made the Jazz respectable in the years before we had Malone and Stockton.

Congrats AD, you earned it!

I used to have a AD signature....I got it when the Jazz played in the Salt Palace and the players would interact with the crowd after games. I wish I could find it.
Patrick Ewing....you've got to be kidding me....was he hanging on Hakeem to keep himself standing!
