I think the reason most people that have ever heard of mormonism bristle when they hear that mormons call themselves christian is because it seems to be a completely different brand of christianity. Yes. On the surface, it appears that mormons are christian, that is, they profess a belief in jesus christ. Upon further investigation however, it becomes clear that they see jesus and god VERY differently than ANY other christian denomination. Mormons are the 'odd-man-out' in this situation, so I'm not sure if "christian" would indeed fit this sect.

Just my 2 cents and dubious grammar, puncuation, spelling and sentence structure.
