Why does the Keating 5 keep coming up?
Do you forget that 4 of the 5 were Democrats? Or that McCain was one of 2 that were completely cleared? Alan Cranston, D-Calif, was the one most responsible for this.

The main object is to Stop Obama and the obamanation that he represents. However
that is accomplished in a Legal Manner, is okay by me. The Media is upset that
they did not know who the VP pick was until it was announced to the rest of us.
So she had a chance to make an impression before their bias could tear her down.
So McCain had a jump on the situation and they where contained. They could not
come out swinging before hand. I love to see the media Stumped.

After reading Google News about the teleprompter issue it seems that there was
minor malfunctions for both Palin and Giuliani but not as broad as was first
reported. It did not go smoothly but was not the fault of Palin who winged it
when necessary but not totally. My bad!!!!!!!!!!!!

Why doesn't being a city councilor and a mayor of a small town count as legislative or executive experience? The US is made up of, in large part, various small towns. Alaska may have a small population, but has important energy industries and is a vast area to govern. This fact actually increases the complexity of her experience. By Democratic naysayer's standards George Washington and John Adams would not be qualified to govern today.

McCain is too old Scott, and too much what we have right now.
That's enough for me. 8 more years of lending deregulations -- which has done so well for the country (rolling my eyes) -- 8 more years of spending $12 billion dollars a month on a failed idealogical war, while our own infrastructure falls apart, 8 more years of the rich getting rich, and by "the rich" I mean the oil companies and the Iraq contractors who are making 6 times that of our soldiers ....
I have had ENOUGH.

First, so-called trooper-gate. Here, Gov. Palin's ex-brother-in-law tasered a 10 year old, threatened to kill her father and was restrained for beating his wife. Yeah, he shouldn't have been fired.
As to state spending, she did reduce state taxes and spending. You are confusing when she was mayor of Wassila. Then, she did support earmarks for the town. She turned against them by the time she ran for Governor because they were associated with corrupt politicians and she's been consistent since.

To Sarah Palin if Liar: She has been a mayor and is now a Governor. Makes no
difference how large or small the state is, it still has to be governed the same
way. She is surrounded by two foreign countries, Canada and Russia. Executive
decisions have to be made to remain friendly and competitive. Obama, however,
says he is qualified. He has spent 173 days in the US Senate, and the rest

elsewhere ... I lived there for more than 15 years ... I've even shaken Ted
Stevens' hand when he paid a casual social call to my boss ... a
lightweight like Palin can do extremely well up there ... she went to five or
six schools of little note before she finally got her degree ... Obama graduated
from major, rigorous schools (Columbia and Harvard) with difficult degrees ...
do you know what magna cum laude means? ... you guys can whine all you want
about experience, but the QUALITY of that experience is what's important,
also the candidate's intelligence and aptitude ... a president needs to be
able to think and reason, not just posture ... Palin just doesn't have it

Unfortunately, in politics the truth always suffers. You can't really trust the claims people make.
I found two websites that sort things out pretty nicely: politifact and factcheck. (Can't put the actual addresses in here, but they're easy enough to find with a simple search.)
Were Democrats afraid to talk about fighting terrorism at their convention? Did Palin really prevent the "bridge to nowhere" from being built? There are places where you can get factual answers to these things, not just polarized rhetoric.
If we're going to get this election right, we HAVE to cut through the spin and attacks and TV ads and doublespeak. You don't have to vote the same as me. Let's just make our decisions based on FACTS.

trees. The fact is, Obama has only 143 days experience as a senator, and he now
is so arrogant to believe he is the right guy to run this country. On the other
hand, McCain has years of experience, is a veteran, is NOT a pork spender, and

decisions... Obama's choice is another equally arrogant old pretty boy. It
was the right choice, and I am happy to support someone who welcomes a downs
baby into her heart and family, and stands by her daughter who made a poor
choice but is trying to do the right thing, and knows the value of family and
children and a spouse, without hesitation. That is character, that is the kind
of person I want helping the helping the president make decisions. Unlike a

McCain/Palin being ahead in the polls is just the usual post-convention bounce.
Obama and Biden got theirs and now it's McCain's turn. Don't
expect it to last, though; once the novelty of Palin dies off and it's time
debate the issues, then we'll see what's what.
