Rearing Children can and should be a team effort. If a person wants to and can within reason be a stay at home mom, that is extremely honorable and in and of its self a full time job.
Mrs. Palin (I am tired of people trying ignore, or discount her husband. She does not do that. Tonight he was holding the baby. The baby was sleeping through all the noise and was doing just fine), seams to have found a balance, lots of Women have many children over many years, and the oldest are adults when the youngest are born.
Her family does not appear to be in any crisis. Like any other family they have situations and are dealing with the situations.
The women lib people should love her but they do not because she has an active involved husband, a together family, and high profile career.
.
GO SARAH!
Levi Johnson? Why haven't you two gotten married? Oh, gop values, eh.
please........... somebody turn off this soap opera.
Interesting that when it comes to Obama a majority in the media view their job as serving as cheerleaders rather than "scrutinizing his background, helping voters determine his readiness to serve."
The press has a right to ask legitimate questions. I think the mainstream press is bending over backwards to keep from being sexist. But, she's the one who flew 8 hours during labor. She's the one who accepted a position, knowing it would expose her daughter to undue scrutiny. Those things show lack of judgment. And certainly she should be held accountable for supporting the bridge, even though she brags she didn't, and for eagerly taking so many earmarks she now denounces, etc.
I would say, anyone on either side who uses the racisim/sexism argument to avoid real questions is the breal bigot.
The media bias for Obama is becoming so apparent than it is nearing desperate. CNN last night had 3 liberal women on to bash Palin while Larry King threw up softball questions to them without questioning any of the supposed facts they were spewing out--especially about Palin's experience but not Obama's lack of....and people wonder why Utah is such a red state.
The downside to a lenghty republican dominance - we will have to listen to the democrats whine for a long time.
I can live with that.
Bottom line, dems - the U.S. has a two party political system and somebody always has to be the "other" party.
Palin lacks the experience, the know how and the FAMILY VALUES (yes I said it) to be Vice President. Likewise McCain. He's never been my cup of java. And this conservative woman will not be voting for this ticket. It's a loser for everyone. The American People, and expecially the Palin children, who appear to be raising themselves.
The double standards from the left are very obvious. The liberals who have posted here are so naive. The issues do matter most, and several were addressed last night, lower taxes, energy independence, choice of the best schools, things that matter most to ordinary, hard-working folks.
"I'm an outsider who is going to Washington to take on the corruption of the Republican Party and the oil companies."
