It is about time. Maybe this will make greedy owners think twice before entombing miners.

Maybe those slime balls should go crawling around in some dangerous mine. Get their pearly white teeth dingied up a bit. Get a little smudge on those rosy cheeks. See how THEY like it!

It is a bit surprising that an internal investigation in a GWB department wasn't more of a cover-up and white wash. For that we citizens should be grateful.
As complicit as administration was by cutting funds and MSHA compliance positions, MSHA itself was also more than negligent in doing it's job adequately. But clearly the egregious evasions of reasonable prudence by Murray's company deserves the scrutiny of allegations of criminal conduct.

Mr. Anderson should go somewhere else to pump his bologna ! The bottom line is GRI continued to mine coal when the conditions had already turned extremely dangerous.

Folks, the Crandall Mine Disaster is exactly what the consequences of the Republicans chant "Less Government" leads to. "Less Government" is why our food supply (sans the meat recalls) is in jeopardy. "Less Government" is why our health care system is the highest costing in the Western Industrialized World and Americans pay the highest price of all for medications. "Less Government" is why our energy costs are sky-rocketing in the face of public utilities (with government oversight) being privatized (with the promise of free-market driven lower prices). "Less Government" is why working middle-class American pay more percentage of their 'earned' dollars than the rich & privileged who don't (the rich getting the tax breaks while the middle-class didn't!). "Less Government" is why corporate stockholders rights trump the safety and well-being of the public at large. "Less Government" is why this country is now held hostage to the weird socialism called 'Corporate Socialism' and its corporate welfare schemes, while those in real need are left to fend for themselves on an unsteady and uneven playing field against greedy CEO and stock holder corporate interests.

Need anymore be said about the so called virtues of "Less Government?"

I don't think so!
