30 years ago the big wind surfing scene was at the Airport Hilton's pond.

Always had wind, and just one or two riders.

I tried windsurfing once in Key West and would love to learn. The site listed has an area for learning and I might try it out.

All throughout the summer when we go to Utah Lake, if we see these guys on the water, we know it's not a good day for us. We have watched them for hours, hoping the water would calm down for us. They are amazing to watch. We will be checking out the website to see when the wind will be blowing and we will stay home and hope they enjoy the ride!

It would really be nice to see better public access to the water at Utah Lake. There are no developed beaches which we think is a travesty. Why don't they make sand beaches anywhere on Utah Lake. Every other popular lake in Utah has some kind of swimming access!

It would be really nice to see something done about the access to Utah Lake water for swimmers and average beach goers. Every other lake in Utah has beach areas that make swimming feasible. Now that Geneva Steel is gone it's time to make some areas available.

It's great to see people out taking advantage of what most people complain about. Speaking of when life gives you lemons . . make lemonaid. Great article and photos - it'd be great to see this state get more sports minded in general and maintaining Utah lake access is only one small example of how bad our state is when it comes to this kind of stuff. I think if there were more ammenities made that were more acessible for all types of outdoor enthusiasts then you'd have more of them motivated to get outdoors!
