McCain will find Pallin's problems at home to be a major speedbump. McCain
or Obama? Neither is worth squat! That said, I am going to vote for the one
with the best energy plan. Why? Because importing vast quantities of oil from
Arab states has caused a failing economy in the U.S., bankrolled worldwide
terrorism and destroyed our planet. Obama is naive and McCain is an ahole. But
at leat McCain has recognized that nuclear power, wind and natural gas are our
only hope. Obama will continue to pursue bio-fuels and solar. Both make no
sense economically. Vote for the better of tow nit-wits! Vote McCain.

Had you made the mninimum effort to do so you would know the road that McCain

I've watched Sarah Palin for months now after hearing several speeches and
interviews with her. Her only problem is that she is just too honest for
Washington. I find it laughable when people question her experience. The top
of the Dem ticket is as inexperienced as it can get. I don't have a
problem with that as much as I do someone promising ua EVERYTHING. Who's

I am a fan of Mitt Romney and believe he is more qualified than either Obama or
McCain to fix the economy. However, if you make a list of Obama's
qualifications to become president and compare that list with the Palin list,
Obama does not look very good. My biggest concern about Obama is not his lack
of qualifications, but his ultra extreme liberal philosophy. Today, I intend to
vote for McCain and Palin.

I see nothing wrong with using family connections to get your foot in the door
in politics, the Kennedy's have been doing it for a few generations. To
say Obama worked hard to get where he is, is a joke and insult. As a state sen
the guy avoided risks and voted present on anything can come back and bit him in
the butt. The little time he spent playing US Senator he voted party line.

In terms of experience being an executive, she has more experience from being
governor just 1.5 years than Obama, Binen, and McCain combined To my

She got elected governor in the great Republican state of Alaska because she beat incumbent Frank Murkowski in the primary. They had to go to the middle of nowhere to find this one. They needed a woman
to appeal to women voters and someone way over to the crazy right to appeal to
the crazy right in the GOP. 'Guess there aren't many on that list.

I am deeply offended by the pick, and more so by those who think Palin would be
able to get Clinton's voters. Why in the world would people think any woman
will be able to replace Hillary? Clinton's supporters might be a bit too
passionate and too emotional, but most of them have enough brains to know that
Palin is different from Clinton. Palin is an ultra conservative which is
distasteful to many progressive-minded Clinton supporters. McCain is a gambler;
this pick shows that he has no idea what progressive women are thinking.

I had heard some positive things before but one thing I like is a sense of
competancy. After Bush, any person with a sense of ability is a breath of fresh

By the way, Evengelicals have not been good presidents. Bush and Jimmy Carter. Not a great record. I have been surprise how dishonest Bush has been (ie lying about McCanns black child in first election, firing US attorney's if they did not prosecute Democrates and of course the lies about the Irag war). Do Evengelicals support those actions of one of their own?

election --- but rather a backhanded slap for the long-term position. Not a

I like the Lincoln comparison, that was my thought yesterday. Let's look
at the positives and quit guessing about what might be in a negative sense. It
is pretty easy to hide behind an anonymous name and fire arrows at people. I
admire these candidates who stand up for what they believe. I think both
parties have a good balance, all we have to decide in my mind is about character
and integrity and I like what I see in the Republican ticket understanding that
none of the candidates posses all the qualities I would like on a presidential
ticket. I think many who comment just do so with emotion and not good sense,
think things through before you comment.

I told my wife months ago that if Mitt won the nomination he should ask Palin to
be his running mate. She impressed the heck out of me then, and she solidified
that opinion Friday in Dayton.
As for DCC who thinks REAL women won't vote for Palin, may I point out that real women love being women, being faithful, being married and being mothers. They also think... and can never be classed as "just another pretty face." You and your liberal ilk are promoting a rather phony version of womanhood. And your attacks on a real woman, as Palin most assuredly is, because she isn't sympathetic to your family destructive policies are going to backfire, big time.

When I read the article my first thought was she sounds like a female

I haven't been excited about the idea of voting for McCain but in my opion he is certainly better that Obama and Biden with their first and third most liberal voting records. His choice of Palin encourages me that he will make a strong stand against gay rights and abortion. I also feel much more confident in his foreign policy ability than Obama's.
I just hope enough Americans have the wisdom to reject the Obama-Biden ticket.

A desperate pick by McCain. Anyone who follows politics closely knows that the
inside polls conducted by both parties shows that Obama has a much larger lead
than what the mainstream media polls are showing. McCain had to do anything to
get some votes, so he did. He picked a born again woman hoping that she would
appeal to both women and evangelicals. It won't work. Most voters are
paying much more attention to this campaign than they did in 04. They realize
this is nothing more than pandering. Putting the nation at risk by selecting an
incompetent. McCain has insulted the intelligence of the American voter,
he's insulted women, and he's shown that he puts himself above
country. He just lost the election.

Barak Obama scares me. He doesn't have a patriotic bone in his body. His
"feel-good" rhetoric and grand promises makes me think of Hitler. Not
that I expect things to be that bad, but just about everything BO promises will
equate to less freedom for you and I. The last thing we need as a nation is more
government control, i.e. socialism / socialistic programs. People need to pull
themselves up by their own bootstraps and deal with their problems, not get
bailed out by the government. The Republicans are doing too much of that as it
is, it'll get much worse if the Democrats win the white house.

McCain has chosen his mistress to be his V.P running mate so he can have her in
Washington without anyone knowing any better. Shame on both of them.
There's no way that a 2 year Governor, and former Mayor and City
Councilwoman is qualified to be Vice President or to assume the Presidency if
McCain dies.

2) serve two terms,
3) get elected mayor for two terms,
4) run for Lt. Governor of Utah and lose,
5) run for Governor and serve two years,
6) Get chosen as a VP running mate by an old guy,
7) hope the old guy dies and become President.
All my friends and family in Orem can remember the good old days when we hung out in our back yard and can be happy that I became President.
Then I can start a war of aggression because my buddies who hung out in my backyard voted for me as did someone else's buddies.

It's easy because it's true. Obama has led a staff of editors larger then her entire staff as Governor of Alaska while he was still a student at Harvard Law School. Please explain her two years as Alaska's Governor is REAL executive experience except in the eyes of Palin and yourself.
I'm going to urge all my neighbors to run for City Council so in a few years they can become the V.P. running mate like Sarah Palin. Then they can run for Mayor and as Governor.
