If they have plenty of cash on hand then why are they not paying back their debts?? I get tired of paying for other people's screw ups and I suffer through and cut my spending in order to not go bk. People that don't suck it up are LAME!!

Because they are paying their contractor and employees with borrowed money.

The reason they are in default is because you can't pay back a loan or interest on a loan with property. They want cash, not a home or land, which people just aren't buying like they were a couple of years ago.
