Are you saying that an outdoorsman or energy supporter who votes for McCain can't feel good about themselves? I would go with McCain's energy policy before Obama. More realistic. Don't get your personal commentary mixed up with "reporting" You sound like you belong at CNN.

Thank you Kurt for having class. why would anyone want to be around "Buttars" and Jason C must be deparate to associate with such a bigoted person. Buttars is in my district but he won't be getting my vote - why would anyone wish to continue the embarassment of him representing West Jordan

I have not spoken to Butters, but he has made more than his share of dumb comments, just like Jason Chaffetz democratic challenger saying that he thought Jesus would vote for him.

The fact that even someone as weird as Butters is trying to introduce people to meet Jason isn't surprising. Do you think he would be introducing people to meet Bennion?

I am glad I have never voted for Butters, but I have and will vote for Jason Chaffetz.

The reporter for this story had to really work hard to get a dig at the GOP into an article about the DNC. Republican bigots can still be good representatives for their districts, just like a Democratic adulterer like Kennedy was a very able President in spite of his personal flaws. Yes Buttars made a stupid comment, but he's making up for it by doing the smart thing and supporting Jason Chaffetz for US Congress. Go Jason!

Years back, it was a 900 phone number that folks could call in to and "Vote" their opinion to polls on various issues. The call cost $1.50. Press 1 for I agree, press 2 for I disagree, and press 3 for I don't have an opinion. Why on Earth would someone waste the time to call a toll number and pay a buck and a half to say, "I don't have an opinion?" Still, some people did exactly that. It's sort of like commenting on this useless article.

Chris Buttars is a republican. Jason Chaffetz is a republican. I don't see eating a pizza as aligning anyone with anything. I'm just not seeing the picture here, I guess. I think I'll just pay my $1.50 and move on.

Jason Chaffetz has shown the fiscal responsibility, the moral character, unwaivering ethics, the plans and ideas and the ability to correctly communicate the issues, that I want in my congressional representative; none of which has anything to do with getting a ticket to the democratic convention, eating pizza with Chris Buttars, or listening to Kurt Bestor music.

I have a lot of friends, but I have to draw the line somewhere. A friend offered me tickets to Kurt Bestor's Christmas concert last year. I thought it was fairly odd. Needless to say, I didn't attend. Senator Buttars is controversial, but so is Kurt Bestor.

They quoted Kurt Bestor as saying it was odd he got an event request from Chaffetz? How is that newsworthy? I agree with Ross58 that there are other things that actually matter in this race.

I agree with the above. While Buttars has made some pretty lame comments, the fact that he is a republican trying to support others running for office is not news.

I am still voting for Jason. That doesn't meet I have to agree with everyone supporting him, does it?
