An afternoon lightning strike? Curious, as there was not a cloud in the sky.

Lots of dry lighning all around Moab on Tuesday night. Probably smouldered
until the heat of the afternoon allowed it to break out.

It could be a lightning strike from as many as a week ago, "Sleepers"
as they are called, The lightning strike will smolder for a few days, add heat a
little wind and you have a wildfire.
