I think somehow in the great hereafter we'll all be exposed to the hand of God in all the incidents and circumstances/coincidences of our lives. A miracle befalls one, a tragedy to another - for now only; it will all be well in eternities, and for the ultimate good and expereince of all involved... doesn't make it easier to understand now though sometimes...
Cherish, Dan, your new lease on life and make the most of your remaining days. You just never know when you're gonna go. And remember, you've got to live for those who did not. Fate gave you a sacred responsibility. I hope you remember that!
Miracle or no miracle, this is not the time or the place to act like you have chosen to on this board.
To "only" debate whether this man surviving was a miracle or not detracts from the fact that this man is alive and he and his family and friends are gratfeul, whereas there is surely sorrow from the family and friends of those who passed away.
Please, even if you don't agree with the prevailing attitudes of spirituality and worship in Utah, don't pick a fight when none is warranted or wanted.
Thanks.
It takes a really naive person to think that money=happiness. You will find more poor religious people than rich religious people. Explain that!
Miracles are in the eyes of the beholder. If you think that evolution created you to burn through 75 years of existence just for kicks and giggles, than enjoy that concept; leave the rest of us to believe that we are more important than that.
Dan's in-laws are dear friends of mine and I am so grateful that he was miraculously saved. It is a miracle -- as it can't be explained how he survived. From my understanding, all those immediately around him were killed and the other survivors were further up in the plane. I believe it to be a miracle that the other survivors also survived, considering their presence in the explosion.
My heart goes out to all those affected by this tragic event, and hope and pray that those who read this can find it in their hearts as well to show respect and sympathy for those involved rather than debating on trivial things.
These were generous people doing what I wish I had the time/ambition to do. It is sad do read this stream of comments and see their sacrifice get trivialized by a pathetic definition of what is and is not a miracle.
I honor them and thier families. My heart felt thanks and gratitude for them all.
