Vote for the guy with the houses | 2:23 p.m. Aug. 28, 2008
Why wouldn't you want to support a guy that is smart, succesfull, and hard working enough to own six houses?

I tend to think the succesfull ones will make the best leaders.

Then again, you can always write a book and get paid a million dollars. You can have a couple of houses that way too.

Pawlenty cancelled his media engagements late today and wouldn't say why. Not good the day before McCain's announcing his VP choice.

It doesn't look good for Romney.

There will come a day when Americans who rejected Romney will wish they hadn't. Sad...

realclearpolitics (now that's an oxymoron, isn't it?!) is reporting that Romney's sister had her house sweeped by the Secret Service today (28 Aug). The website reported that could be a key sign that Romney's the guy. However, a Romney campaign insider also said that the security sweep "could have been conducted in advance of Romney appearing as a surrogate -- not the vice presidential nominee -- at an upcoming McCain campaign stop in Michigan."

I don't know how Romney appearing as a "surrogate" for McCain at a campaign stop would warrant a security sweep of Romney's SISTER'S house, but who knows?

Guess we'll find out tomorrow....

Man, something tells me that McCain really, REALLY regretted being asked how many homes he owns.

That HAD to be a tactical question thought out by the Obama campaign, asked expressly to embarrass McCain by showing just how different McCain is from the average American. And his gaffe of not even knowing was just icing on the cake to Obama's camp.

It SHOULDN'T matter at all, but the liberal mainstream media will spin it negatively to the n-th degree.

You would think that an American would WANT somebody smart and successful in the Whitehouse (as in, "hey, this guys got a hundred homes! He's obviously smart and financially successful. I'll bet he's got a lot of business smarts. I'll vote for him!" but it seems like so many Americans are jealous of the wealthy, equating wealth with "evil".

With Romney leading over Pawlenty in every single VP poll I wonder if Romney went from being McCain's favorite to the #2?

Hmm...
I hope Romney gets the nod... | 11:13 p.m. Aug. 28, 2008
...cos who is gonna want to vote Mc and Mitt???

But then again, if he does get the nod, then we'll never hear the end of it. ahh man, what a pickle.
Mitt Friendly with McCain? | 11:51 p.m. Aug. 28, 2008
What a joke. We all saw and heard all of the negative things by both of these men about the other. Particularly McCain. I remember Romney being totally ignored and shunned by McCain and the huster Huckabee. Trying to convince the world that you didn't mean what was said. Heck, we're even friends. The comments about Biden show that the primaries themselves go uglier than necessary. Unfortunately, I can't buy Mitt and McCain as BFF's. Maybe McCain does appreciate the money that Romneny brings in, but that doesn't mean he likes the man, it just means he likes to use him. A McCain/Romney tickey seems beatable.

Romney is a good mormon and he is going to open the many houses he owns for occupancy by the homeless, let's hope McCain will do the same.
