1) Of COURSE these are preseason rankings, they are a semi-educated guess at best (similar to College)
2) NO one agrees with EVERY prediction, therefore we then discuss it in a manner of "did you see where the Deseret News ranked so and so" (that is desireable for the Deseret News BTW)
3)These rankings DON'T matter at all, (unlike College) they don't determine seedings for the State playoffs or limit which teams actually make said playoffs. They are a tool to generate excitement and focus the casual reader on games that should/may be more important or more interesting. (see Cottonwood vs. Pineview week 3)
4) Finally AA makes up this list on his own about about much as I get to decide what I do in a normal day. (My wife thinks I should do this, the kids all have their input, that minor detail of a job has its' requirements, followed by the dog needs to go for a walk and we need this or that at the grocery store before dinner) Get it?
