Texas ends oversight of 34 more FLDS kids

But forced marriages, especially of underage girls, are a crime. So is sex with girls under the age of consent. Warren Jeffs has been convicted of one act that involved both of these things. There is considerable evidence in the public record that other FLDS members have also been involved in underage marriages.
Under those circumstances, I think it's ridiculous, and more than a bit disingenuous, for you to keep chanting "persecution". At this point it looks like PROsecution, not persecution, to me.

Of course it doesn't. Anyone who watched this knows that CPS abused these children, and their mothers. They promised an investigation, but they never did. The state said they were investigating Rozita, but they never did. What a farce! They let all the real criminals get away.
I just believe that the bending and outright violation of the law by government to get what looks like a few religious zealots does more harm to the constitution than the ends that will result from the raid.
Jeffs has been neutralized and is no harm to anyone and ole Merrill hit the road. We now sit here saving children two years after the last "spiritual marraige" of girls that may or may not have consumated marraiges to their respective "husbands".
When the State of Texas screams about underage marraige after it changed the laws for marraige to target the flds it is more that hypocritical.

That sentence certainly leaves the door open for more harassment. I guess CPS just sits and waits for another anonymous call.
