They have to want to achieve in school. No one can force them and no one can stop them.
It is a cultural thing for many. It isn't like the education establishment wants them to achieve lower scores.
I can only imagine where we would be if we properly funded education in Utah!!
The problems is the legislature sees results like this and they will be fine with the status quo.
Congrats to the kids, parents, and teachers!!!
Agreed, but we still must acculturate all immigrants into our society. As a patriotic American (and I mean not in the flag waving sense), I do have fears of the loss of the values and benefits of Jeffersonian democracy if we have a major segment of the population that is not familiar with democratic principles and the Constitution.
