Has anyone noticed that Russia's actions seem to have been as valid as those of President Bush in invading Iraq. We need to back off and let Europe's leaders take the lead on this one lest we been be the pot that is calling the kettle black.

Allowing Georgia, Ukraine, or any other state that borders Russia into NATO only means we go to war with Russia should there be a conflict such as we now see in Georgia.

The NA part of NATO means "North Atlantic" so let's keep it that way.

Either that or let Russia in as well.

Realist...get real. Putin didn't have 17 UN resolutions prior to his actions. Your bias is showing!

The Bush administration has been "tweeking the nose" of Russia by bringing the nations around it into NATO and working on placing an anti-missle system on it's borders. Putin is no fool. He suspects, in spite of our saying it is against Iran or some other rogue nation's missles, that it is against Russia's missles. If Georgia were NOW a part of NATO, we would be OBLIGATED to intervene militarily. And God knows we don't have the resources! Next to the United States, Russia is the most powerful nation on earth. The Bush administration should have been working closely with them during it's entire term. Now that it is ending, let us hope that McCain or Obama will work harder at diplomacy with the Russians.
