'Trudeau' has rare cultural depth

I have been reading 'Doonesbury' since it began when I was in high
school, at least when it came to a paper to which I had access. I look forward
to it everymorning (I now get it online.) Tredeau's writing is definitley
to the left of the political spectrum.. I've had a theory for years as to
why it is so topical: Trudeay and wife are on the 'A" List of party
invites in Boston, NYC and Washington. He sees and hears. Plus, I know hw
works on a short deadline, unlike some others who work six weeks in advance.
When he takes a few months off, I really miss it.
