Where will the frivilous spending stop?
It's sad that many people in society still can't wrap their little minds around the fact that a life is worth something even if there is a physical disability involved, and yes, even if that life is an animal. I wouldn't put my kid down if its legs wouldn't work. Sure wouldn't put my dog down either. It's all about quality of life, and attentive people know where to draw that line. Each circumstance is different and you can look into an animal's face and know if they are ok or if they are suffering too much. I'm glad Piggy's owners know her well enough to distinguish that her life is still worth living.
Wonderful story!
Also, if the dog is happy then it's absolutely silly to feel sorry for her. Dogs generally don't suffer the same psychological impact that people do over the loss of a limb or limb function. All she knows is that she has this weird scooter thing on her now, but she still has a family that loves her, plenty to eat and a good, fun life. Her family is to be congratulated on all they have done for her.
Barking does not mean you have a guard dog.
Those are 2 very different things.
Congrats to Piggy for earning her CGC,that`s quite an accomplishment.
Good to see this positive story.Would love to see a follow up story on Piggy sometime.
