Utah lost far more than 12,800 jobs in July. This number is actually much lower than reality. The illegal aliens generally have been the first to go in the construction, landscaping, and hospitality industries. They are not eligible for unemployment and so they don't check in with Workforce Services. The problem is that many of them are still in the area, because it is easier to manipulate the state and church welfare systems along with more sharing of homes and apartments in order to get by. 3.5% is still very near full employment, unless of course you are the one without a job.
