Lead by Example or don't lead | 6:42 a.m. Aug. 7, 2008
I think it is very odd that the present govenor of California takes a jet to work every day because he chooses not to live in the govenors mansion.

While he does this because it doesn't suit his live style, he is imposing change on the rest of Californians that will impact their life style negatively, this to decrease their carbon footprint.

As in the case of Al Gore, we have "leaders" who refuse to rule by example, and refuse to impose upon themself the sacrifice that they expect of others.

California is something like the 7th largest economy in the world. If any state can afford their governor commuting to work my jet - The Golden State can.

I really doubt California will re-elect anyone with the moniker "Governor Moon Beam"

I remember when Pete Wilson was governor of CA and had the lowest approval rating of any governer of CA before or since. It was thought that the dem's could field anyone and win the election. Then they sent Jerry Brown's daughter in as their candidate, she lost, big to a person that was almost universaly hated. Jerry Brown would ensure another gop governor for CA if he were to run.

Personally I liked Brown's then girl-friend, Linda Ronstadt.
Hubba-hubba.
