My son was in a similar accident 3 years ago. He shattered T-12 in his back. He was told at the time that he would never use his legs again. Since that time he has (with a great deal of effort and work on his part and the help of physical therapy) been able to walk 400 plus steps with two canes. He would better be able to tell you his story as well as all of the things that he had accomplished since this accident occurred. He also went to China for stemcell injections.
