Crandall Canyon Mine: Owner went from sound bites to silence

Given that anything Murray says seems to be twisted by some faction or another with an agenda, I don't blame him for not making public statements; he can't even say "Good Morning!" to a reporter without someone pointing to the comment as proof that Murray is uncaring.

As a grandson of two miners, my fraternal grandfather died in a mine accident 10 years before my birth, I respect Robert Murray for not granting interviews. I think he did all he could do to rescue those miners and was their on the recovery in the second collapse. Cut him some slack you mean blanks, mining is dangerous. You wimpy desk jockeys have no idea what built this country. OUT

Robert Murray made choices based on the reports of qualified engineers. I agree with DR Don, I would not speak to the press either. He got to the mine in record time after the tragedy and put himself out there with the media when he didn't have to. There are no guarantees with any job, especially mining.
I will support Mr. Murray to the end.

murray�s not talking because he knows he�s wrong. He knew exactly what he was doing when he sent those Men into that mine, gambling. He lost. (He noted it on all the working documents, with his initials) Read the reports.

God bless the Men that went in to get the last of the coal from a worked out mine. murray�s a garbage man, cleaning out coal from where other coal operators have moved on. All the Miners that have worked for him will tell you what he�s like. If you have worked at a murray mine and still back him, you�re not a miner, your just some guy that works at a coal mine.

Your right, mining is dangerous, but not like this. Hiding accidents from the authorities, taking barrier coal, taking bottom coal. This is not how mining is done. Every move must be approved or people get hurt or worse.
Remember, murray�s type, is the reason the working people of this country stood up and started unions. Without them this is what happens. In a union mine this would have never happened.

How long before they make him talk. Anyone else would have to make a statement by now, or will he just slip out of site like nothing happened? Anyone else would be looking at jail time. Money talks.
