Why wasn't the Haws kid from Lone Peak there?

This was the "B" team. Haws and Wilcox are on the "A" team.

He has nothing more to prove. Besides the fact he's been home for about two weeks this summer.

The "B" team never beat anyone this summer but a bunch of flukies. The "A" team is the Utah Pump team and always has been. Nice try!

The Pump N Run guys have a pretty impressive record from talking to some of the local coaches--with plenty of kids going on to the next level. Congrats to all these players for representing Utah!

What might have been | 11:29 p.m. July 28, 2008
Just think how good the Utah team would be if Haws and Wilcox would have played with the other players. The Utah Pump N Run team beat and played against the top players in the country. With Haws and Wilcox they might have been the best team in the country. Davies, Collinsworth, Wilcox, and Haws. They would have been tough to beat.

I think having all the best players in one team seems the perfect formula, but it creates more competition among players and very tough to get playing time which is why these kids choose to play for smaller teams. Overall, the Utah Pump and Run U17 team did great and lost against the best team in the country.
