I wouldn't be surprised if the Jazz are trying to deal Harpring and Kirilenko right now to make room. They want to keep CJ more than they'll admit. Watch and see.

Maybe the Jazz do know what they are doing.I was starting to wonder. Good move O Conner, now lets finish the job and do the same with Korver his lack of defense won't work on this team,we already have to many non defenders.Throw him in on a trade for an athletic big man that can defend and block shots. I think they will keep Miles they can't help but know how good he is. I think Sloan just used the wrong strategy in developing him and that they know that. Mo Almond has never seen a guy open yet and thats his down fall But he can shoot the ball and could fill the role that the one dimensional Korver should have had.

Looking to trade Harping (who Sloan loves) and Kirilenko to make room for See-Jay? You must be CJ's agent for making that comment.

CJ is just not worth the money. He had opportunities to show up when Brewer and Kirilenko wnet down with injuries last year. He always gets his feet tangled on defense and his outside shooting is not consistent. There is also no way that the Jazz will give up on Korver this soon. That is a pride issue with O'Connor.

There are only two paths for the Jazz moving Kirilenko. The most likely will be a Camby type of deal where they dump the salary for nothing. That would not happen this year but next. The other path would be that he shows up like a monster in the Olympics and other teams start knocking.

Just let CJ go. He is not worth the money. Just think about Millsap. We will need to pay him next year and he is a proven player.

The only thing that is good about this trade is that we get rid of Hart and save some money but I think Price is still the best option at the 2 guard. What is this about trading Korver? You are nuts. He might not play the best defense but he is by far the best shooter on the team. Something Utah has not had since Horney. The rest of the team does not play defense either. Korver is not the answer to trade. You need to trad AK and Harpring to bring in the Defensive stopper like Emeka Okafor. Then we are talking. I think that is a person in worth trying to get.

Harpring and AK are 2 of my 3 favorite players on the Jazz. Why, AK can fill up the stat sheet, Harpring is tough and a fighter on defense and my 3rd player is of course Devon Williams. As much as I love AK and Harpring DO NOT EXPECT either of them to be traded.

AK is paid $15 million this year and still has 2 more huge contract years for a team to swallow, so don't expect a trade there.

Harpring as much as I love him, when the Jazz signed him to a 4 year 25 million contract I had no idea what they were thinking. They paid 5 or more million too much there to a player so questionable with bad lower leg and feet problems. Also making him almost untradeable is another year left at 6.5 million.

We have probably seen our big Jazz trade this season. Now the Jazz coach Sloan better be able to convince Boozer to play some defense because when teams can they will put some one tall on him, which seem to give the Booz fits.

Jimmy likes the trade. Brevin is a much better facilitator than Hart is and has some of the best assist per minute and assist to turnover averages in the league. Brevin's shooting does have much to be desired.

Jimmy still thinks CJ should be and will be gone. This trade might even make it easier as the Jazz now have a better backup for DWill, which may enable Price to get more time at the 2.

I want CJ out... KEEP Harpring and AK because they show tremendous plays on the court, not CJ. We can do find without CJ. I just hope Knight can contribute more to our team than Hart.

You people that keep knocking Korver are ridiculous. Do you remember the funk we were in before he got here and what happened after he arrived? Enough said. He opens up the offense with his threat from the three, other teams if you will notice keep a man on him at all times which opens the middle for Booz and Memo and others to operate inside. He is a deadly foul shooter for the end of games that we need also. So quit ragging about him and his defense which on most match-ups is good. What has C.J. ever showed defensively? He eratic as a shooter(hot and cold) and turns over the ball a lot. Now his dedication to the very team that gave him a chance in the league? Zero. Let him go. Nothing more than a slacker, which we don't need. Get a grip dummies.

Move Korver? Jazz CANNOT move him at least until 12 months have passed since his coming to the Jazz per league rules. Furthermore, that would be ridiculous. I'm VERY curious to see how Korver responds to the coaches actually planning on him being with the team from the beginning of a season. We could see something completely different.

All of you who want CJ to move on to OC Thunder and think the Jazz will be better to let him go are crazy. CJ is still only 21 yrs old. He hasn't even began to show what he can do. Why do you think D Will wants to keep him? He has more potential than any of the 2's or 3's on the team. Korver is a great shooter but is limited in many area's, Brewer is a very good athlete but is limited with his long range shot. Harpring is tough but getting old and can't move very well any more. He probably has 1 or 2 yrs left in him. AK is probably my favorite Jazz player because he can do so many things well but his outside shot is very inconsistant and allows teams to sag off him. CJ was just starting to show signs of what he can do at the end of the year. The Jazz need to keep him, build his confidence and he will be an All Star in the future.

I agree. KEEP KYLE KORVER! Speculators have said that if the Jazz had had Korver from the beginning of last season they would have had the best record in the league.

He's a fantastic shooter, something that the Jazz have never had much of. In order for our picknroll to work well we need a guy taking the pressure of the paint.

CJ Miles has done nothing for the Jazz. He's horribly inconsistent, and makes a lot of turnovers.

This trade indicates that another trade is in the works. Saving $900K isn't that big of a deal to the Jazz. Knight has better trade value than Hart with name recognition and journeyman experience.

Expect another deal. Not Korver. My guess is that they'll match CJ's offer sheet--then sign-and-trade him with Knight to a single player.

I'll be shocked if Knight steps on the ESA court.

All of you ragging on 21 year old CJ need to do a little research before you make fools of yourselves.

CJ shot a higher percentage from the field (48%-44%), a higher percentage from the 3 (39%-37.5%), and had a better assist to turnover ratio (2/1-1.3/1)than Korver.

I like Korver too, but he is no CJ.

Here's the bottom line: If CJ was good enough to play, he would. But he doesn't. It's that simple. You think they'd keep a great player on the bench or in the D-league? CJ will never, NEVER, be a contributor in the NBA. I honestly think if he'd gone to college, played a few years, and then declared for the NBA draft, he would have gone late in the second round, if at all. The Jazz have sunk too much time and money into him, for whatever reason. Cut him loose, let another team prove me right, and watch CJ drop out of the league in a year or two. I used to be CJ fan, but I can't tolerate incompetence and laziness. In five years, only Utah fans will vaguely remember the name CJ Miles. He will be managing a Burger King back in Texas, if he's lucky.

Your logic isn't bad, but you have to remember Korver played a great deal more than CJ. Obviously the more you play the more shots you're going to take and miss. According to espn.com, Korver played in 75 games at 23.1 minutes a game, whereas CJ played 60 games at 11.5 minutes a game. That translates to over 1,700 minutes for Korver vs. 690 for CJ. Korver played more than 2 1/2 times as much as CJ. In addition you didn't even mention the free throw shooting disparity. Think of how many games the Jazz were able to lock up in the final few minutes by inbounding the ball to Korver and relying on his 91.5% free throw shooting. In the clutch I would take Korver over CJ in a heartbeat. Korver is a veteran with a much better work ethic. And rag on his defense all you want, but watch a game and notice that Korver is consistently running, trying to stick with his man. Problem is, he's white. CJ has talent and potential, but without a work ethic he's not that valuable to this team yet.

Korver has pretty much reached his peak, which is statiscally below college junior aged CJ.

Give him a chance to grow up or OKC will.
