I love these stories-- I have one:
While reading the stories from a children's version of the Book of Mormon to my boys one night, we started on "Abinadi was a prophet". My 2 year old chimed in with his finger hooked and said, "ARRG, I'm a pirate too!"

My son Nathan, who has Down Syndrome, loves the hymns almost as much as he loves to eat. As we were on our way to the car to leave for Sacrament Meeting, he cried, "Didn't have breakfast!" I replyed that it was Fast Sunday.
His loud response ricocheted through the neighborhood, "Oh, Poor Wayfaring Man of Grief"!!!

When I was in Primary, I thought "The Golden Plates" was a stupid song. It says, "The golden plates lay hidden deep in a mountainside until God found one". I imagined God walking on the mountain, picking up a golden plate and saying, "Wow look what I found, I wonder if there are more here." I knew that it's ridiculous that God didn't know where they were, and wondered why no one else had thought of that.

When my daughter Jami was about three, we were sitting outside the Bishop's office while my husband was being set apart for a calling. Someone came up and asked her where her Dad was and she said, "He's in there being 'Cut apart'!

Jami is a mother now and her son Cole was being interviewed for Baptism. The Bishop asked Cole if he read the scriptures. Cole said, "I'm done with that, I'm reading a picture book now!"

My brother's grandson Brandon went in for a Baptismal interview and the Bishop asked "Do you keep the Word of Wisdom?" Brandon replied "yes".
Bishop: "Do you know what the Word of Wisdom is?"
Brandon: "No"
Bishop: "Well, do you drink?"
Brandon: "No!"
Bishop: "Do you smoke?"
Brandon: "No!"
Bishop: "Do you drink coffee?"
(Long pause)
Brandon: "Well, sometimes I cough!"

While teaching children about Moses and the children of Israel I asked them what it was that God sent them to eat. Annette raised her hand, with a quizzical look on her face and replied, "Angelfood cake?"
