Sagebrush thinned to improve feed

Was it not just a few years ago that DWR was complaining that the sagebrush was
dieing and this was killing the deer population because they had no winter feed
except for sagebrush

"What", read the article...the DWR guy told you there was a difference
between the sagebrush in the lower elevations and the sagebrush in the higher
elevations.

There are different kinds of sagebrush. I assume they were killing
"mountain sagebrush" which grows at higher elevations and offers
limited forage value. It is different than lower elevation sagebrush
"Wyoming sagebrush" that deer rely on for the winter.
