Will a new driver for the Miller empire result in changed direction?

Went to a Jordan Commons movie yesterday, they had a power bump, the popcorn was
burnt and the movie stunk. Larry's only been gone for a few days. Times
that by a year or two and the dynasty crumbles. Sonny is in a bad position,
can't win no matter what he does. Like trying to follow John Wooden or
Bear Bryant. Good luck though.

It sounds like Larry's son would be just fine managing everything, but the
Jazz. I think most basketball franchises that are owned by a single person or
family have been, and should continue to be, visible icons of the area who
openly support and offer comments not only on basketball, but support local
events. Look at the Sacramento Kings, the Mavericks, and the Lakers as just a
few examples. If Greg Miller is unwilling to take up that mantle of public
visibility, the Jazz will suffer from a PR standpoint locally and league-wide
and we, as the public, will think negatively of him, especially if we start
comparing him to Larry. He doesn't need to be the same as LHM, but hiding
in the shadows will only hurt him.

I just hope he doesn't try to make a quick buck and sell the team to an
out-of-state group who secretly wants to move it back to their po-dunk city a la
the Sonics.

Sorry to hear that Greg burnt your popcorn, produced a bad movie and caused the
power disruption ... I'm sure that he's personally sorry for causing
each. (I surprised you didn't lay blame on him for your crappy car, too.)

Well, since the Jazz came from New Orleans, and they have a franchise there now,
no matter what happens, the Jazz wouldn't move there.

Don't need a visible owner | 5:39 p.m. July 20, 2008
Hey, Marc -- Why do you need a visible owner to have a successful franchise?
You pointed to Dallas and Sacramento as examples, even though they haven't
won championships. Tell me, do you know who the owner of the Spurs is? Most
people don't, and they've done just fine.

Please check you facts -- the first mustangs are offically 1965. However, the
first mustangs were released and coined 1964 1/2. These original models where
all coupes and not convertibles.

Hey Gang. As long as there is a Miller at the head of the organization and the
talent in all the basketball operations will be the key. The Jazz have a very
good BB organization that works and works well together....SYNERGISM BABY! Look
how long the main cogs within this organization have been together. People have
come and gone but the organization still works great. As Greg gets the feel for
his added responsibilities he will adjust and do what is best. Again the key is
keeping the KOCs and staff together so the Jazz keep moving forward. Just like
Sloan says, play forward and don't look back. Looking forward to next year
and future player moves the Jazz may make. GO JAZZ!
