EPA warns of climate change in West
5 comments | Read story
Yet here we are in 2008 and the average global temperature is acutally lower than it was in 1988.
So when is this horrible disaster going to occur?
When are Utah's ski resorts going to close up shop, instead of setting records for visitation every year since the Olympics?
And when is Lake Powell supposed to go dry, instead of rising about 80 feet like it did this year?
A note to the EPA and environmentalist community: There's a nice children's book called "The Little Boy Who Cried Wolf". Read it.
NO, there is no global warming in Utah it is all a myth. I don't take these warnings as scare tacticts or fear mongering but for what they are, warnings of things that are happening and am prepareing to make lifestyle changes accordingly.
Remember if ye are prepared ye shall not fear.
I wonder if past societies fell victim to such mass hysteria whenever the climate has shifted either way. Of course climate change exists, but humanity's ability to adapt is what has helped us outlast less fortunate species. Instead of using a normal phenomenon for political gain and the advancement of the liberal/environmental cause (who, due to their disdain of traditional religion have started their own), why don't we relish this opportunity to start new crops and industries? Greenland is chomping at the bit to grow more of their own food. They pay over 3.00 for a cucumber! Some animal species are thriving with the change, you should, too! And by the way, the Northwest Passage is open but still full of ice bodies and un-navigable by boat. You seem to be invested in climate change being worse than it is.
