Those were the days when professional sports were priced within range of virtually everyone. As young marrieds living in Boston in the early 1960's we frequently walked in on a Celtics game - even a playoff game. Ditto for the Pats. And for $1 each we could sit in the centerfield bleachers at Fenway and visit with Mantle and Maris when the Yankees were in town.

That dollar you spent in those days

is actually about 15 dollars or more in todays currency.

maybe things haven't changed as much as you think.

IT's just that people have more things to do and spend their money on now days.
