The focus of these news reports should be fair to all idols...who are giving us their very best. David A. is a nice guy....but David Cook won and the people who voted for him, would like to hear more. Not the reporters viewpoint. Thanks

I admit, I figured I'd be twiddling my thumbs until David Cook's appearance. But all 10 performers did a fantastic job (Michael Johns and Syesha especially) and it was touching to see David Archuleta's response to the crowd. But I still say DC ruled the night - less squealing, more hard core cheering and whooping!

It all depends on what type of singing you like. Pure tone David A has it hands down but they added instruments because I think A1 wanted a rocker this time around and Cook was the best of those although that is not the kind of music I myself prefer. I hope American Idol doesn't just become a rocker contest because I am dismayed how some of the past stars have just become shriekers. We need some Sinatras and Ankas and real singers for the future.

I think the focus on David A is obvious. This is a Utah paper and David A is from Utah. I actually think that Micheal Johns was the best "rocker" last night He was 2nd for me last night. He didn't scream as much as David Cook did. That being said, I did love "Hello" from David C. But it all came down to David A ... he was my favorite! That kid has some serious vocals!

Kristy Lee was the best. She performed fantastic, is so sweet, and good to look at. Burt overall as a package I think she is the funnest and most amazing to watch. Chakeeze was also entertaining, but then again they all were fantastic. It got to loud with David Cook and though he seems to be the young crowd favorite, I am not one to follow the crowd. Brook, good but voice not as strong as others, Seyesha is to much into her body and borders inapropriate, Michael Johns is good, as is Jason Castro but a little dull and Archeletta is great voice, very sweet and sincere and will get better once he is over his shyness. As far as who are my favorites, would be Kristy Lee, David Archeletta and Brook because they are so sincere and sweet and I hope they never change.

American Idol is worthless. When are you people going to stop supporting it?

How odd that a Utah paper which favored David Archuleta for obvious reasons would put a picture of David Cook in the article on the concert instead of David Archuleta. It's good for Cook, of course, but doesn't make any sense.

Not as worthless as all the political viewpoints that we are having to listen to. Give me music any day....at least I can pat my feet...dance ...and feel happy.

Have we all not been taught to respect one another. How very rude to have a mass exodus while the winner of "American Idol" is performing. If you care enough about teaching your children what lesson did you just teach them. It does not speak to what your city is all about. All of the idols deserve respect. I can only say I am embarrased for those of you that chose disrespect to Mr. Cook. He did not deserve that. He is the glue behind the whole tour. He alone has been the backbone of respectfullness to everyone.
I am embarrased for you! These young entertainers have worked very hard to present themselves to you.

I wasn't at the concert but I have heard reports of people leaving. I have also heard that it wasn't a 'mass exodus.' I certainly hope not. People get up to go to concessions, take their kids to the rest room, etc. during the earlier sets. I hope no one meant to disrespect Mr. Cook. And I don't think Mr. Cook ALONE has been the backbone of respectfulness.
He's a great guy. The others are great people. I'll be in attendance in Kansas City and Tulsa, and though I know I'll love all ten Idols, it's David Archuleta who I'm most excited to see and hear.

I'm a David Archuleta fan and the only reason I could think of why David Cook's picture is displayed is because he won the American Idol Title. However, it would have been nice if they could have included David Archuleta's picture too since this is his home. I went to the American Idol Tour in San Jose, CA, where I live and I thought it was a great concert. I especially enjoyed David Archuleta of course. Here I didn't notice anyone leaving until the entire show was completed.

I just heard and saw that people were leaving the concert while David Cook was performing Billy Jean. I think that was highly disrespectful! I agree with the previous post about David Cook and all the Idols working extremely hard to present their gift to all of us!

I am a fan of both the Davids!!

If they left, it could just be that they didn't realize Cook was going to come back for an encore. They might have thought it was over. Plus, it is a long show, and if a lot of people had to work the next day (I went to Opening Night in Glendale which was on a Tuesday), they may have left before the crowd to make it home. I traveled 2 hours to see the show, but as I only went to see David Cook (although all the idols performed well)I didn't notice that many people were leaving. I stayed through the end and still wanted more. I can't wait for his album to come out. I plan on buying at least 5 so I can give them to family and friends.

As for Mr. No More, the majority of America watches American Idol as they launch a lot of wonderful talented artists. If you don't like it, that's fine, don't watch and don't buy, but I wonder why you are wasting your time commenting on it. I will support it for as long as they produce talented artists and as far as Cook is concerned, I am a lifer.

Sorry DC fans I just don't get you. Is the USA a free country? Paid USA dollars for tickets. Paid USA dollars for gas to get there and back. Paid USA dollars for food and souvenirs. I'm sure Cook is a great guy but I just don't like his music. So if I leave the event during his performance I'm labeled as disrespectful? One of you should have advised me sometime during the concert that this was no longer the U S A.

Hey all, the concert was fantastic all around. These are all young people doing what their hearts are telling them to do. No different than you or I going to our different jobs each day. I flew in from Pueblo, CO just for one night and just for this concert as this was the closest to my home to enjoy all this new talent. Yes I'm a Colorado Cougar and Word Nerd, of 52 yrs young, and had a wonderful time at the concert and enjoyed the young people around me as they were all having a blast screaming, yelling and jumping around. And I would do it all over again if given the chance. Life is short, enjoy it and thank the good Lord you can!!!!
