And a wonderful person.
Way to go Vai!!
By the way, what did Vai mean when he said "When you step inside the square circle"? Can a circle be square? Maybe circles now look kind of square to Jose. Vai would probably also be a great footabll coach and could say things like "All right men, pair up in groups of 3. Then go line up in a circle!"
I believe it's called a boxing "RING," so "square circle" would be an apt description.
How would you feel Vai if he called your NFL and college days pathetic? Again he would be just telling the truth.
Vai you were always better with your mouth than your play.
As for celeb. boxing...talk about pathetic.
You've been in Philly too long...You're starting to act like all Philly sports fans, thinking you know it all while knowing very little. In the words of the late Chris Farley " I just wish you {all} would just shut your big yappers".
Don't go away mad Vai...just..you know!
Go back to looking at your Conseco poster on your ceiling.
Vai is the real deal and is simply being truthful about what he thinks of Conseco. Conseco IS a phoney and pathetic human being (see youtube videos of the fight to see that other sportscasters feel the same way about Jose).
And whatyamean is clueless about both.
Have you ever heard of "hype?" It's what sells tickets and gets fans in the seats for boxing events. Any REAL boxing fan knows that! You've got to hype it up and get people interested by saying some outlandish things about your opponent. Why do you think that Tyson was so good at this later in his career? It's because his skills as a fighter had eroded to the point where he was useless physically but wanted fans to think otherwise so that he could get paid!
Vai said what he said about Canseco to HYPE THE FIGHT! It doesn't mean that he necessarily believes it! Plus, his winnings went to a good cause so leave Vai alone.
You sound like some bitter yewt/RSL fan who has nothing better than to bash on Cougs past, present, and future. Way to go, Vai! Let's keep this celebrity boxing thing going!!
What does RSL have to do with anything? I wouldn't expect a Canadian to appreciate a sport like soccer anyway (too many players and the hockey puck's round), good luck qualifying for the World Cup. Long live the queen.
And it is true that you did not show class in your calling Canseco pathetic or your arrogant statement about being surprised the bout lasted as long as it did. Show some class. Think Rocky in Rocky 3 after he beat Hulk Hogan (Thunderlips) in the charity bout between a boxer and a wrestler. Yes, the story is fiction, but Rocky's comments to and about his opponent were everything yours were not, Vai. Dignity, humility, love for all, even your enemies. I think you are supposed to live by these, even in Philly.
