We chose to incorporate because we tired of dealing with the SL County planning machine, among other things. Now we have our own planning bureaucracy that will allow oversized homes for the mega-wealthy and hotels to bring pot-heads to our community, but I can't replace my old garage with a new 2 car garage because it's 18 inches taller than the old one. Is this good government?

"If his hand is forced, Harrison will put retail on the property, he said. But so far he's sold on the hotels and houses."

Sounds like a threat to the lowly citizens. Seems like too many structures on that property...2 hotels + homes? Of course residences would blend best with existing housing but since when has a developer "done the RIGHT thing?"
