Will any of the games be televised?

It's too bad that CJ won't be playing.

Lets hope Fesenko and Koufos show they can help the team this year.

C.J. must enjoy shooting himself in the foot! If he really wanted to play in Utah, he needs to make a positive impression on Sloan. The signal that he is sending is that of a player who doesn't want to earn his place on the roster and a real future possibility on our team. Patience on his part and working hard to show that he belongs here would only enhance his playing time, leading to a more handsome contract offer after this season (whether from the Jazz or another team who sees a person willing to cooperated in being a true team player). In all probability, he won't be seeing an offer sheet from anyone this summer. He is convincing the Jazz that he won't be prepared to get into the rotation this year. This action speaks loudly and clearly. I believe that he does have potential in the NBA, but even the other teams will take note of his lack of team support, limiting his money offers in the near future.

Will any of the Jazz Rocky Mountain Revue games be televised?

It's too bad that CJ isn't going to play with the Jazz in this years summer games, he needs to show the Jazz he is committed and that he can step up an be the man. He has more potential than any of the Jazz 2 men, he just needs to mature and gain confidence. Playing in the summer games would give him that chance to step his game up and show he can be consistant. I hope the Jazz see his potential and match any off CJ may get. He will only get better. I think Sloans negetive, critical style of coaching has caused CJ to be tenative and hesitant and not play with confidence. Like D Will said, the sky is the limit for CJ. Let's hope the Jazz don't let him go.

couldn't resist bashing Sloan could you? The man leads your team to the playoffs year after year with no thugs & rapists on the roster but all you want to do is bash success...why don't you root for the Clippers or the Grizzlies & see how successful "players coaches" are in the NBA!

re craig: Typical Sloan lover's response, like playoffs without winning the championship in 20 years mean something. Sloan had more then enough chances to prove that he is not capable to adjuts to todays NBA changes and lead team to the championship - time to go to deserved rest. Get Hornacek here!
Bad call by CJ | 12:28 p.m. July 12, 2008
Injury risk is a sorry excuse. I am sure that either he or his agent has heard of a thing called "insurance". He really should switch agents if that's the advice he is getting.
A fan | 12:41 p.m. July 12, 2008
Yes, all of the Jazz games in the Revue will be on KJZZ.
NBA Fan | 12:45 p.m. July 12, 2008
The jazz should resign CJ. he's a good young player who will be a good off the bench player in the NBA.
ctoe | 2:01 p.m. July 12, 2008
Kevin Kruger will be a player to watch. His play with the Flash should have opened some eyes. I know that we are loaded with point guards, but who knows. I think he deserves a second look. What I have seen is a player making others look better.

CJ obviously can't learn from past experience! He doesn't work out his body in the offseason, he doesn't play enough basketball during the offseason! All he's concerned about is getting his money... and he's not even very good at that. We all agree CJ has amazing physical ability but unfortuneatly no brain to go along with it!
CJ... get your man marbles out of your agents purse and PLAY! THEN you can talk about your money.
Korolev? | 4:01 p.m. July 12, 2008
Yarolslav Korolev was a lottery pick for the Clips in 05 (12 pick overall). Watch him. He'll surprise you.
Cheers

When more tha half the teams make the playoffs it is not really that big of an accomplishment.

especially when you have a coupl of stars on your team.

Heck even sloan couldn't get winning seasons and playoffs without his stars like stockton and malone, and now williams and boozer.

I wonder what D-Will thinks of CJ's decision not to play. It seems CJ is just chasing money and isn't a real baller but just a player. With D-Will's intensity to just WIN, I'm not sure D-Will would want to go to the basketball wars with him. When CJ is playing, he plays so casually but no intensity. He has the physical skills but lacks the judgement. It is time for him to prove it or move on. Morris Almond will take his time and place on the roster next year. It's too bad. Hey folks, name me one or two players that left the Jazz and went on to stardom. Will NBA TV be broadcasting the RMR? GO JAZZ!
silesian | 7:07 p.m. July 12, 2008
to poster: "Bad call by CJ" what kind of insurance would CJ get? Football players on contracts which terminate if they are injured have insurance against career-ending injuries, but I can't imagine structuring one for a player who might not get a 2 year, $5million contract if I am injured in the RMR. Then again, he might not get it even if he does play. So let's say you write me a policy for $5M in case I get injured...."

There are a lot of interesting comments, but if I were CJ and the Jass added Korver and Almond is ready, but not getting a chance, then I read that the Jazz are chasing Maggete, I would not see any future with the Jazz. I also think the Summer leage is over rated. They play 30 minutes for 6 games. Did it help Aurjo or Brown last year? If CJ has a Break out year this year, then the Jazz will loose him, no money to resign. I would tell CJ to work on Point Guard skills and add to his playing time.

Here is a novel idea, how about offer him a decent contract and get him signed. Why have we been screwing around with this for the last two years while we have a couple of non-contributing dead end players setting around collecting their checks. He surely isn't asking more than what they paid Collins.

Is it gonna be on NBATV?

I guess many Jazz "fans" want a championship more than anything. In other words, they want the Jazz to be like the Miami Heat: win 1 championship then become the worst team in the league 8 years running.

I, on the other hand, would like to see a competitive Jazz team every single season. The Jazz have made it to the semi-finals and will continue to advance.
Sports Illustrated projected that the Jazz and Lakers will be the top teams in the Western conference next season.

Eventually, Jazz will win a ring under coach SLoan. Also, don't bash on Sloan if you don't know how the Jazz run their offense. Sloan doesn't make ANY calls now. D-will controls the offense.

Response please. I love to shut sloan haters

I agree with you Daily Credit for the most part. However, Jazz fans have been waiting for three or four decades for a title. I have only been a die hard for 20 years, and it seems that with the exception of the two years after Stockton and Malone left, every season is "maybe this year" and then, "maybe next year". Miami was a mediocre franchise for years, then great for a year, then poor. That is a little different then one that has been above average to great for 20 years with basically nothing to show for it: no titles, still can't sign free agents, and still not a media darling. Living in northeast Wyoming, no ties to Utah other than the Shriners' Hospital, I vowed that once Malone retired, I would find a new team. No more "maybe next year" talk. So much for finding a new team! Point being, the Jazz have been building for next year for too long. Don't get me wrong, mortgaging the future for one year of "ultimate success" isn't the answer. However, without making some changes and adding more defensive minded players, this team will always have us saying "maybe next year".

CJ Miles is making the right move- He is a good player who is only going to get better if given more minutes. Sloan has done his job as well as he could. He should hand it over to someone new now. I have a feeling Horny would coach the same way as Sloan, so I hope Horny does NOT get the job. Bring Avery Johnson in.
Re:LK | 11:03 p.m. July 13, 2008
Your post is a testament to LHM's genius as a businessman. If you can keep enough people thinking "well, maybe next year", then you continue to sell seats, beer, and team jerseys.

I think team management has strung us along perfectly. I think management would like a championship but, more importantly, would like to produce a product, through PR and just enough results, to keep us thinking "well, maybe next year".

If it weren't so entertaining I might give up on the team.
DOn't get it!!! | 10:39 a.m. July 14, 2008
I don't get it??? CJ wants a contract, what better way to increase the guy's stock than getting more Visible w/ his skills than the revue, especially if he's a as good as he thinks he is & we all think he is. Get out & play & show everyone what he gots, says he needs & wants more playing time< GET OUT & PLAY!! What does CJ have to loose? Maybe he'll suck & his stock will go down. To me, that seems more like what he's afraid, rarther than getting hurt!! I'm a Miles fan, but I don't get why he he doesn't want to play in the revue?? Especcially when he's not under the the tight reins of sloan & play some fun B-ball for a week. Go show boat what he gots..

CJ needs to fire his agent and get one with a little bit of sense.
