No one's convinced me as to why we let Dee go in
the first place. Hart certainly hasn't been as effective. Price is athletic and has a better shot, but Dee would have been a better 2nd or 3rd option than Hart. Good luck Dee!

Since Orlando has too many shooting guards and only one true point guard, the
Jazz need to look at a possible trade with the Magic. Utah has plenty of point
guards and could look to improve their depth at shooting guard.

Jimmy wouldn't trade Boozer for Wallace and May, but how about this trade
with Charlotte:

I really think I would rather have Dee Brown as a point guard than Jason Hart.
It seems like last year Hart didn't do much when on the floor. With Brown
still a young kid and him being able to grow under Deron Williams, it would seem
only natural to want him here. If I remember right he played with Williams in
college. I think we could get him for pretty cheap.

Before all you Dee Brown worshipers start complaining about the direction of
Jazz Management. Remember Dee Brown was and would be the Jazz's 3rd PG he
didn't make a basket, lay up or from the field in his first 3 months of his
NBA career, he averaged less than 2 points and 2 assists per game. Not a big
loss.
I'm not a big fan of the trade proposal in this article. I liked May in college but he's been injured his whole time in the NBA and Wallace is very small for a 4. If this rumor is true the Jazz must be very afraid that Booz is leaving next year.
That being said if the Jazz are going to make a trade this is the type of value they will get for Booz as no one wants to trade like value for a guy who's going to be there one year.

I do like the Okafor for Boozer trade rumor. I think that would be a good fit
for the Jazz and Charlotte. Okafor's scoring would improve his rebounding
is already there and the Jazz's interior defense would be much better.
Okafor's biggest weekness is his FT shooting.

Boozer, Collins and Hart for Okafor and Morrison or May. Shove Collins and Hart
down their throat if they want Booze. Win Win for both teams. Also just sign
D-will for whatever length of time he wants, just hold the line and don't
do it for MAX money, he understands cap and luxury tax, plus need of other
players needing to be signed I'm sure. As far as him dictating anything
else the team wants to do tell him to take a hike, just sign the contract and
leave the teams decision making up to management. Young players have no business
demanding to be a part of management decision making. End of story.

Man i would trade for wallace and may in a second!!! you get an high flying
athletic, SHOTBLOCKING player in wallace and you get a player with alot of
upside in may if he can stay healthy. May has the same body type as boozer, but
hey boozer also was plagued by injuries early in his career but came out nice.
And i am pissed at the jazz for signing a top 5 WORST fa in franchise history in
jason hart instead of keeping d wills best friend and dee brown is on the rise
in his career while jason hart is in the ride (of the bench) of his career.

I think this trade with Charlotte would be great.Why not move Kirilenko to the
four spot and let Wallace play three.The coaches have always said that Kirilenko
is more suited at the four position.Williams,Brewer,Wallace,Kirilenko,and Okur
is a solid starting five.This also would open the door for more minutes for
Millsap.Anybody out there agree?

I was thinking we need to get something for boozer. He has already basically
said he is leaving.
But then I had a thought. If he opts out of his contract next year, he will have to play at least as good if not better next season to demand the money he will be looking for. There is risk in opting out for him too. I predict a pretty productive season for him. Really its kind of a no brainer.
Bottom line next year is very important for both the Jazz and Boozer. Hopefully they pull off that over the top trade they have said they are willing to make. Now is the time.

We don't want dee brown! We already have 3 point gaurds but only 2 of them
are useful to use. dee brown sucks! When he was here he scored like 3 points a
game. Plus he needs to control his tempo. He kept getting turnovers and he lost
it out of bounds here in Utah

To bad is just rumor. With Wallace and AK in starting lineup Jazz would improve
so much defnesively that nobody would even miss few extra points Boozer was
giving us. With Dwill's passing I do not think we would miss any points at
all in fact. Didn't we sored 120 vs Lakers without Boozer, and never
matched that with him? And what score is better 110-112 or 99-77?

Booze is a great player and most NBA analysts will say his is in the top 4 power forwards in the game today. Therefore he will have some good trade value, that is until he walks free.
At the very least, I hope the jazz are trying to make a deal in moving him him right now! They may not find anything and if thats the case we are better just keeping him. All I ask is that they try.
The fact is we need to move either Okur or Booze. Does anybody actually believe that we can beat the spurs, Lakers, or Portland (yes portland-top 5 in the west) next year with our current roster? It was not bad luck, or poor officiating. It was purely a matchup problem. The definition of insanity is doing the same thing over and over and expecting different results. It is apparent there are a lot of jazz fans that wish to be insane next year.

Adam Morrison, "a younger version of Matt Harping"? You have got to
be kidding! Morrison plays zero defense. That and the fact that his shooting
percentage has bombed in the pros makes him more along the lines of Hart than
Harpring. Many in the Charlotte franchise are convinced that he can't make
it in the NBA. Just what the Jazz need. As for Boozer, we have seen the recent
surge of players opting out of contacts. Boozer will opt out. If Elton Brand can
opt out and get a HUGE contract after only playing in 8 games, I doubt if Booz
will have to have a monster year to get a pay raise, and another team will give
him the big contact.

holy crap ADAM MORRISON IS A YOUNGER VERSION OF HARPRING? the only similarity
is that both are white and both play basketball. harpring is one of the top 5
players you hate to play against, and morrison is the absolute worst defensive
and rebounding player that has come along in the last 20 years.

I thought everyone was crazy to want to trade Booz and AK but the more i think
about it the more i think it will be better in the long run. So here is what
sounds best to me. Trade Booz and Collins and Hart to Charlotte for Okafor and
Wallace. Then (not sure if this would fly????) trade AK to Chicago for Gordon.
Gordon and Okafor were awesome together at Uconn plus with willams and wallace
and a solid bench you have NBA title!!

I love the Boozer Okafor Deal but I think the only way it could happen is if
Charolette thought they had a chance of locking Boozer up long term, otherwise
the deal carries alot of risk for them. The problem with the Jazz situation is
that if they let Boozer walk and resign Okur they are still going to be over the
cap so they can't be a real player in the free agent market. On the other
hand, Charolette doesn't have that problem so if Boozer decided to walk
they would have loads cap space and lots of free agents to choose from.

Okafor is better than Okur, and Wallace is better than AK and Brewer (IMO).
Hmm. Upgrade two positions by trading Boozer. I would say a lineup of Okur,
Okafor, AK, Wallace, and Williams would be far from stupid!!! The Jazz need to
make some moves to seriously contend for a title. Virtually every other team in
the west is getting better, and are just as young for the most part. Standing
pat probably won't win a championship, or even guarantee a playoff spot.
Teams win with defense, and this team doesn't have enough. Millsap has
shown that he can score 20 a night when he gets starts. Pencil virtually any
player in at the 4 under Sloan's system and they can do what Boozer does,
plus show a little more defensive effort (hopefully!). Boozer is too
unpredictable with injuries and effort to be counted on, plus he WILL opt out of
his contract. Granted, Okafor is no Cal Ripken, but his health is no more of a
problem than Boozer's medical history.

What is it with you people? Dee Brown was not that good of a PG. Yes he was
quick blah blah blah but he was a TERRIBLE outside shooter. We don't need
another one of those. We already have Brewer.
Price is essentially a taller version of Dee Brown except he can make shots, spread the floor, and dunk like a fool!!! He is twice the athlete Brown is.
That said I wish Dee the best--seemed like a decent guy but I also heard they cut him to get rid of the influence on D-Will. Don't know if it is true or not.

Wallace can't shoot. He scores by driving, but doesn't shoot well
from outside. Is he an upgrade over Brewer? Maybe by a little, but it
wouldn't justify the contract difference.
Okafor is a crybaby. And he is limited offensively. He's a good player but not in Boozer's class.

Those of you bashing on Morrison haven't followed much other than headlines
or sound bites. If he makes the transition to the NBA he has tremendous upside
potential. His competitiveness and basketball instincts are tremendous. He has
yet to prove himself, but remember he just missed his entire second season with
an injury. Reports are that he has worked hard at rehab and is maturing. It
would be fun to see him on the Jazz, but I think his best game (like
Kirilenko's) is free form, and that doesn't work so well in
Sloan's system. He would also need to show commitment to defense, but if
Jeff Hornacek can play defense for the Jazz, so can Adam Morrison.
Boozer going to Charlotte and staying there is conceivable, as he played his college ball nearby at Duke.

The Jazz had that spark to get over the hump. It went by the name Ronny Siekly.
I'm 100% certain that had he come to Utah back in the day the Jazz would
have won it all. Now Utah is saddled with the idea that even someone like him
wouldn't come here. As such, the Jazz are destined to be the bridesmaids of
the league and Deron knows it. Which is why he'll leave asap. SAD, But true
