I agree that they need to move the Utah School for Deaf and Blind school up to
the top of the list. These kids need a place to call their own. They need to be
able to meet and make friends with kids that they will know will be going to
same school as themselves every year instead of not knowing if the friend they
made that year will be in the same school as themselves the following year. I
know what it is like cause I attended the Utah School for the Deaf and Blind for
three years and left after going to three diffence schools for each year. They
helped me while I was there, but I needed a steady place that I could attend
year after year to develope friendships. Instead of wondering if I was going to
be there next year and if my new friend will be there as well. Use some of that
surpulus money to get it done instead of seeing which one of your buddies you
can help this year Reps. and Senators!!

shutting down the deaf and blind school. I played basketball against them
before.

I have noticed that the various Government agencies here in Utah, be they State,
County, and especially Salt Lake, are willing to do almost nothing for the
handicapped. They will browbeat private entities to do it, but to actually put
up public funds to make minor changes for the benefit of those with
disabilities, it's not gonna happen unless Federal regulations demand it.
They do away with the accessable parking everytime there is an event held at
City Hall. Mom Really appriciates that. It is a chore getting over the curb and
half a block to the doors. Three spots half a block from the door isn't
acceptable for any private event. In fact the City would shut them down or fine
them a small fortune. The City can ignore all these rules. The Housing built
with public money by the various publicly funded agencies, Habitat, NHS, CDC,
RDA and the rest is mostly just like what Ivory or Celebrity would build. But
somehow these guys are providing a public service. Please, don't make me
laugh. They are merely justifying their own existance at the taxpayers expense.
