I am so excited to watch another big stiff in the middle for the Jazz lets go down the list 1- Jose Ortiz (stiff) 2- Luther Eliis (issues would have been a stiff) 3-Grer Ostertag ( Stiff)4- Erik Lekner (Stiff)5-Koufos will be a stiff. Thanks Jazz man another big man that wont do crap in the middle. Should have taken Mario Chalmers as a backup point or Darrell Aruthur who was available

This will be an exceptional draftee, and I couldn't be happier that he fell to us. What a strike of luck, just what we needed a big athletic center. He could contribute some this year against some teams. I personnally can't wait for this season to start. With everyone at a full training camp I only see good things for the Jazz this year.

We'll see if he is the second coming of the
Kansas Mean Machine Greg Ostertag...The name
still brings fear to my heart.

Wrong pick | 5:58 p.m. July 10, 2008
"Super Nintendo" Chalmers would have been a better pick for us. We need to shore up the backup PG spot over another big.

I think the Jazz should take a chance on Shaun Livingston the Clips just let go. Granted he is coming off a serious knee injury, we could give him next to nothing for a year or two.

no pt this year | 6:02 p.m. July 10, 2008
Kosta won't see any PT this year for the Jazz. I'm not saying he won't end up contributing down the line, but don't get too excited about anything this year. It sounds like he'll either play a couple years in Greece or spend a lot of time in the d-league. Hopefully he'll develop nicely. But no PT for a 19 year-old with Jerry at the helm

See Dee Brown just signed an offer sheet with Washington. How nice would it be to have him back? Better than the infamous Hart, and I think better than Price as well. Hmm. Doubt if the Jazz will match the offer. What a shame. I say trade Hart for a future second round pick and re-sign Brown.

Kosta with his work ethic will be playing just like a couple of years ago with Milsap. Sloan likes a player that works hard and listens to the coaches, as long as he does that, he will be playing and I believe will be backing up Memo. With Milsap backing up Boozer.
Go Jazz!

It doesn't matter who backups who.

As long boozer is on the jazz the jazz will never win a championship.

You must have defense from your powerfoward.

Just look at all the championship teams!

There are no ifs ands or buts about it.

Doesn't need a backup pg. Price filled in quite well last season. That is definitely not the area of concern for Utah. I think this will be a good pick for Utah, but they still need to find a defensive player through a trade.

Brown > Hart Correct. Blind person could see that!

Brown > Price Nope
-Price is 6'2" while Dee is 5'10"
-Price is a better shooter
-Price can jump (Remember him schooling Boozer in Sacramento)
-Price is a better matchup defensively because of his height. Brown would struggle with taller PGs.

All I can give Brown is that he is VERY fast and could be a great change of tempo backup. I love Dee Brown and hope that he somehow lands on the Jazz (and that somehow the Jazz would get rid of Hart), but he realistically wouldn't beat out Ronnie Price. That's why the Jazz won't match the offer sheet the Wiz gave to Dee.

PG??? | 12:02 a.m. July 11, 2008
We have the best point guard in the league. Only if he gets hurt should we worry about the point guard possision. We are soft in the post positions, okur and boozer are great offensive players but not bruisers like Boston had. Im not saying Koufuso will be that man but its worth a shot.
