Let's be realistic, this is just another way to grab money from citizens similar to traffic quotas. I have not heard of any accidents at these intersections. A golden opportunity for the house burglers.

Will the police use decoys to walk back and forth across the street to see if drivers will stop? If not, they may spend a lot of time waiting for a pedestrian to come by.

What a couple of apathetic comments to our police just trying to slow people down and make our streets safer. They will just be issuing warnings and trying to educate people like yourselves what you are do to when someone is in the crosswalks. Too many people in our community go way too fast and are unaware they are even going faster than the speed limit and many often ignore crosswalks and that is when accidents occur. We did have a fatality in a crosswalk a few months ago and as recent, we have a number of near misses. The police are just educating the public of their responsibilty when they get behind the wheel. Remember, driving is a privilege, please drive courteous and obey the laws.
"Slow Down Bountiful",
Respectfully, Tom Tolman, Chairman of the Bountiful Traffic Safety Committee.

No. Utah sees a major earthquake every 350 years. Last one? 350 years ago.
