My thoughts and prayers are with Craig's family and close friends. I knew Craig for a couple years and always knew him to be a friendly person--always thinking of others. (One time in particular, he helped keep me warm at a ward activity when it was freezing outside and none of us thought to wear coats.) He had such a positive influence on so many, before and after he lost his hand.

Craig -- We will miss you!

Craig was--hopefully is--an amazing person with a contagious optimism. I'm not quite ready to believe he's gone.

I didn't even know you, but I had a friend who did. My prayers are with you and your family. What a genuine, caring person you seem to be.

Craig had to be an amazing person...He's Marie's son and a DECKER! Our world needs more people like the DECKERS...

I am so sorry for your loss. My heart goes out to your family but I am grateful you have the lord's comfort to hold you together!

Love you,

The few years I have known Craig he has always seemed to have a smile on his face. Even after the accident in which he lost his arm, I never heard a negative comment come out of his mouth. Just a few weeks ago Craig was so excited to show me how his new battery operated mechanical arm worked. I was amazed at his optimism. He IS a great example for how each of us should live.

We will miss you here, Craig.

Craig was inspiring in his attempts to go beyond his limitations. But the lake was too much for him. His limitations became tragically evident.

My heart goes out to Craig's family. I know they love him dearly, and I am so sorry all this happened. My thoughts and prayers are with them at this time. His sister is an inspiration of love and kindness even at a time when she could be so angry, she chooses to be optimistic and loving to all she talks to. I truly pray that they will have angels watching over their family at this time and hope she knows that if she needs someone to talk to, I am there. I hate for anyone to have to experience the loss of a loved one. God bless them, and may the rest of us never take for granted what we have. Please remember the Decker family in your prayers and give them the kindness and love that they have been so gracious as to give us during this sad time.Families are Forever. My sincere condolences, prayers, thoughts and love go out to you.

My most sincere condolences to his family and friends. My husband lost his left arm in a construction accident in October, 2007. Reading about Craig's strength, determination and courage reminds me of the way that my husband has been since his accident. I truly admire Craig's efforts to comfort and help those who have lost a limb. I did not know him, but from reading about him, he was just the way my husband is...the true definition of the human spirit. My prayers are with you.
