Funny how zoobies don't think injuries constitute a legitimate excuse for other teams losing to byU. 'A win is a win' yadda, yadda, yadda
But then again it is soccer ......
Only Richie Bindrup played any minutes in the RSL reserve game. Although most (all?) of the players had been involved in running soccer camps this past week, fatigue didn't beat the Cougars. They lost their composure and (like RSL) didn't finish their chances. As Coach Watkins said after the game, they didn't deserve to win.
Hopefully, the Cougs will have their heads on straight next week and beat the Outlaws then go on to win the season series at Ogden in the teams final meeting this year.
BYU's mens' team used to play collegiate club soccer. They bought a PDL franchise, and now play in the Northwestern division. While the players are all students, none of them receive any soccer-related scholarships.
